I was just wondering what your guys favorite characters are and stuff. This is mine,

Fox-

This is my favorite character and my favorite move with him is to go on hyrule i think its called and face the towe while sitting down there and grab the enemy throw them towards the wall behind me so the bounce up then jump and do a big aerial attack.

This is what my brother does-

My brother uses Samus so yeah........What he does is he just gets your damage percentage very high and the knocks you off the edge and when you try to come back he gets right above you and slams you down. (he also does this to get you into the tornado over and over)

So please post your favorite character and your strategy that you use with THEM!

Favourite character...um...Link, I suppose. He's really quite fun to play. Space well, use projectiles well and maybe get a flashy aerial combo in. You have to adapt to your opponent, really.

Favourite move is probably Jigglypuff's Sing. Or, if you mean my favourite thing to do, it would probably revolve around either Yoshi's B moves or DK's grab.

samus - BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB or more appropriately... B--->()--->roll cause i suck B---( )---> ( ) maybe a little dair/bair in there

fox - sex kick.... ..... .... .. . pew pew pew... pew pew...... (upsmash when im angry)

jigglypuff - does anyone play jigglypuff for anything but her rest? come on don't lie don't combo mombo bull**** me you don't play jigglypuff because of her combos you play her because you end those combos with a rest.

Captain Falcon - taunt(s) many many taunts and maybe dare i say it... falcon kick.

mario - anything with the b button

luigi - HIS FIREBALLS....SO GOOD....dragon punch -- *see jigglypuff rant

yoshi - BAIR I MISS HIS BAIR I CANT PLAY MELEE YOSHI BEACUSE OF THAT **** TAIL WAG ****

link - fair...hitbox in the front or the back? =] aw but running backwards with air kicks ninja link is fun too

kirby - final cu---cu---combo breaker

donkey kong - nair one of the few individual nairs... i believe ness is the only other character to have a nair that isnt just a stiff leg .... however...

lol my last post was a joke. Kirby's up-tilt is probably the most hated move in the game... apart from us kirby players (yes, I play kirby).

Now to be serious :p

My favourite character to use in terms of fun to play as is Falcon because of his play style and combo ability. My favourite move: FALCON PUNCH! Just pulling it off at the end of a combo makes you feel soo good. Also, his god-tier taunt cancelling.

My best character on controller would be kirby, and my favourite attack is F-throw suicide off the edge (only when I have a stock advantage). Seriously, no one expects it. They think it will just be his regular forward throw... until we both die, giving them an even bigger disadvantage. Utilt is stupidly good, but if it works, it works.

My best character on keyboard would be puff. My favourite attack would be up-air, with rest being a close second. Up-air can be used to combo at lower percents, and can kill opponents at higher percents (up-tilt to up-air kills FTW). Rest for obveous reasons :p

As good as rest may be, missing it not only usually means that the opponent doesn't die, but you lose your stock, plus ALL the momentum is now in favour of your opponent, as well as you lose some morale. Coming back from a missed rest, you don't play the same (desparately trying to get that kill you should have gotten), resulting in stupid mistakes which your opponent capitalizes on. At least that's what happens to me.

Your best bet, if possible, is to up-smash or up-air kill them instead, or if their recovery sucks (and you have some knowledge of how to edgeguard), Nair or Fsmash them off the stage, and Dair / Dsmash / Nair edgeguard them.

1. Fox's Drill. Like Oh My GOD, that thing is made to give you awesome combos, unfortunately DI can screw it but it allows such freedom in combos for fox.
2. Rest. Landing that bad boy, well there's no feeling like it. I picked up Jiggz for this one move, and hitting it 3 or 4 times in a match makes my day.

Link's DAIR.

A magical move that combos with two hits at 0% if you hit them in air.

One of the few moves that pre-emptively techchases because it lingers so long.
Also awesome for edgeguarding because of this same quality.

Add a downthrown bomb to fastfalled Dair and you have a killer finisher. :p

**** kirby's utilt, lol. Dair should beat that move.

I used to think this way until I realized it's one of the drills with the least hitstun in the whole game and gets DI'd out of all the time, I can never use this move against anyone good except in situational stuff. Against people who don't DI or DI badly, yes, it ***** with easy-as-pie "pillaring" combos.

Is there any question?

It's captain falcon and the falcon pawnch. Yes, it's nigh-on-impossible to hit with, yes, it's usually a stupid thing to do, but if you can hit with it, you get this warm fuzzy feeling inside and go around with a happy glow aura around you for a day or so.

more specifically, I like to knock people into a tornado on Hyrule and then hit them with a FAAALCONE PPPAAAAAWWWWNNNCCHHHHH! just after they get ejected. There's really nothing like it.

If you still play the game, you should go to training and practice comboing into it. YES, you can legitimately COMBO INTO A FALCON PUNCH. Try it, it's satisfying... like sex.

Earth, right?
Fav character would have to be Fox since I used him for quite a long time now but as for a favorite move i'd say a tie between Kirby's fair and Falcon's uair

Character: Falcon
Moves I prefer to show: Falcon Taunt, Falcon Punch, Falcon Kick, Falcon Taunt, Falcon Spike (This one is so awsome that it ignores the laws of physics and instead uses the laws of Falcon), Falcon Combo ****, Falcon Dashdance, Falcon Taunt, Falcon YEAHS (Up+B), Falcon Taunt, and Falcon victory pose where he goes sitting on the ground acting mysterious and manly.

Ah, and did I mention that move where he says Show ya moves?

You forgot to mension Falcon's taunt...

Now that we're including taunts, the best attack in the game is Luigi's taunt. I mean seriously, if you pull it off on someone, that should be the game right there. Lol imagine killing someone with Luigi's taunt... what could be better? :p

Character: Pikachu. Obvious if you know me.

Move: Pika's uair is a lot of fun and surprisingly complex to employ in combos, but I think that I might ultimately prefer the effortless joy that comes from Mario/Luigi double dair spikes or Luigi's up-B.

Oh man, I forgot about this. Recently played someone as Luigi and double-daired their Fox, then up+b'd them out of the end of their firefox, then after regaining my jumps quickly on stage, double-baired them as a final edgeguard. It was gross. And too much fun.

My favorite character is Captain Falcon, mostly because he steps on children and is an ideal counter to ness.

My favorite move is the fact that captain falcon thrusts out his pecks in every aerial move including his Dair.

Realistically I guess my favorite move is fox's back air. There's just so much you can do with it, and it has a simple-effectiveness in it I always admired.

Ness can combo Falcon to hell. I'd say Mario is the best to counter Ness
We argue about this everytime!

I mean in the sense that falcon steps on little kids for breakfast, he is the ideal counter to ness.

Competitively, I agree with you that mario is a better counter. Also, chancy could combo falcon to hell if she wanted to. Anyone can combo falcon all day lol, playing falcon is all about the dun get hit.
