No it doesn't. If Paris is a direct descendant of Mist rather than Ike, he's still a collateral descendant of Ike, so you would be able to call him Ike's descendant.

I guess I'm the only person that doesn't care about the sexuality of a character. I mean, who gives a damn about what Ike wants. Could be women, could be men, could be both. But what's important that he's still one of the best Lords introduced in the series (and I love the son of a gun in Project M).

I think it is/would be pretty cool and brave of Nintendo to have a homosexual main character like that. If it would work in any series, it would definitely be Fire Emblem. I almost wish Ike was confirmed to be gay. It would at least make him 1% more interesting.

People need to get over this negative stigma that being gay has attached to it. There's not anything more wrong with being gay than there is being black. Completely off topic as it is, I do agree with Wario on Fire Emblem being a good place for that kind of character. I'm kind of miffed they didn't bother to do that with the Avatar in this game. Silly as it may be, could always find some handwave to get Morgan still.

And what kind of item could Fire Emblem get? I'd want something unique. I suppose they could add the Fire Emblem (original one) and give it some sort of defensive effect.

Micaiah is one of my favorite Fire Emblem Lords. Eliwood is as well, neither of which are considered all that powerful compared to their counterparts. Most of the Lords I like has more to do with how they fight and their personality than how good they are in their respective games.

My favorite lord is lyn and her DEF sucks but I still like her. I like Lon'qu and he isn't a lord. So no it isn't about stats xD

Yes the rescue staff would be a cool item. to use on your opponent so they won't be able to get away or rescue your teammate in doubles or something. That said i'll probably never use them, neat kinda thing though.

I always liked the idea of a Devil Axe item. It could be like a beefed-up beam sword that can hit you in the face instead (maybe put a cool "possessed" looking shadow effect over it when it does). It'd also be funny to give it a chance to bounce off enemies when you throw it at them (doing no damage and flying back to where it was thrown [or straight for the thrower] to damage the user).

Like who? Ike? Ike is clearly OP, but I actually love his characterization over his two games. Chrom is a very strong unit, but he is disliked by many. Lyn's definitely not the strongest in FE7, yet she has a strong fanbase. I kind of fail to see the correlation.

Despite it's inevitability, it will be saddening to see Ike go for me. He will be most likely replaced with Chrom, but do you guys think it is possible for a third character due to the success of Awakening? If there is a possible third one (something I am not getting my hopes up for), I would prefer if they were not another, regular swordsman from the series. I also feel the need for there to be more magic-using characters AND female characters. This is why I would like to see the Female Unit from the game, using both tomes and swords to add variety.

It doesn't seem that way to me, I don't think people care about stats, its how a character is portrayed that does it. Chrom can be a strong unit but you know very well that most people don't like him. Well... the veterans to FE anyway. Newcomers eat Chrom up so quickly, its kinda scary. Makes me worried IS will just throw a random Lord out and expect him/her to be well received no matter what :/

This. Hector isn't even that good since his post-promotion mobility is lacking. And Ephraim's got the lance novelty going for him.

I really like Ephraim. Both because I think he's one of the most attractive Lords and because I liked Sacred Stones quite a bit. I know that it isn't that popular to most, but it was a lot of fun growing up. I like the designs for most of the cast too.

My favorite lord is Lucina. I don't dislike any of the lords, but I dislike how some of them are written, such as Eirika and Micaiah. Unit strength doesnt really play into who I like, as I've found every lord usefully aside from when the RNG Goddess has something against you.

Your other ideas are cool, but I think the Rescue or Warp Staff would be what the series could bring most in terms of uniqueness. Only Ephraim, I guess. Lucina's pretty cool, too, I suppose. I really don't like Lords in general, as they're mostly boring and have the same traits from game to game.

Wow, the Rescue Staff would be REALLY cool for Team Matches. Like, it teleports your teammate next to you when you use it, then disappears. That's pretty cool.
