Virtual Dub... A clip recorded then properly placed into 60 frames with top view first using bob doubler. Viewing the preview also.

Then counted.

I'm working on everything soon.... I'll have shield stun and shield lag after I get all the moves.

I'll also get the frames for Yoshi to shield

:yoshi: Don't sticky the thread, we have like ten stickies already.

Just have someone edit the Big Book of Yoshi Information (assuming threads like these are what we have it for).

And LOL @ a Yoshi mod.

is there the amount of frames it takes the whole move if it does hit (a moves like tilts and smashes), like if u miss attack in a match
Hit lag are the only things added so just subtract the frames of hit lag to find out what the move is when it misses

Example:

Start up: 2 Frames
Hits: 3
Hit lag: 4-8
Ends: 22

4,5,6,7,8, = 5 frames of hit lag

22-5 = 17 so when you miss it ends on 17.

Ah guys I figured it out, Yoshi's egg wraps around him on frame 7 but he can shield as early as frame one...

The egg wrapping around him just symbolizes when his power shielding ends.

Frame one? Wow. Is that faster than the other characters?

Thx for the information. That's a relief to hear since I've thought that yoshi wasn't going to be able to shield as fast as the rest of the cast. Btw, does everyone else come out on frame one? I'm guessing that they should since you can powershield within 2 frames.

Yep all shields come out in frame one.

I'm pretty sure there is like a 6 frame window for power shielding meaning frames 1-6. Since the egg wraps around yoshi on 7 and that is when power shielding stops for yoshi.

Thanks for this information Ref, its nice of you to do all this for a character you don't main.
If you ask me its FAR too easy to powershield in this game, nearly every attack of mine thet gets shielded is a perfect shield. Its one of the only things about Melee that I prefer, when it actually took some skill to powershield.

The pivot grab was done at point blank, what you grabbed on was 10 it has that kind of duration.
Nah man, I did it point blank, trust me it come out on 10. I also watched each frame with the new code and the toungue doesn't even come out 'til 10.

You are probably counting frames that you have to turn first... I counted from the frame that yoshi begins the pivot grab...

I'll count those in if you want... I'll also double check.

nope. The frame by frame code makes it quite east to count frames. It'd be great if you double checked.

BTW as you already basically said in your first post.

Yoshi's spot dodge is broken

(You can hit him 1 frame at the beginning(Almost everyone has this), and only 2 frames at the end)

most people have 4 to 6 frames where they are open at teh end

I'll double check and thanks....

Yep... It's pretty broken. Just stand there spot dodging all day. I guess they gave it to him for his inability to jump out of shield. If you ask me it's a pretty fair trade considering you can just now spot dodge so you are hit in the later half of invincibility and punish...
