Oh right. I forget that my schedule is the weird one.
Actually, I'm the weird one now. I have no more summer breaks lol. All work days now. >.<

Nah, I couldn't make the time commitment for basketball and computer engineering.
=[ But we gotta represent the athletic and smart people! Understandable though. Anything engineering is no joke. Hell, I'm spending my own free time learning Linux the hard way now. x.x

Socks plays tennis for his college if I remember right... But dude Scatz, I still play intramurals and rock those pretty hard in basketball especially, so it's ok. Also, the athletic director annoys me and the basketball coach upset me. I really expected a more Christian atmosphere than that at an Adventist university.

Man, is everyone here talented at sport~?

I feel lame now.
All I do is keep my body slim with a bit of muscle tone.

I don't actually like.
Use it for anything.

I used to be athletic and play sports, but I injured my knee last year just as I was getting into parkour by doing a wall jump and haven't been active since :(
Cool to see this many sporty Yoshis though! :yoshi:

Edit: I like the new thread title guys!

Damn, I don't count as athletic anymore. =/
Aren't you still playing? Or aren't you with the band ? Either way, you're included in that list, but that wasn't meant for you ya foo!

Ah, also, I found out that keeping expectations low goes a longer way. Tons of letdown a happen, and college is no exception for me.

I used to never workout outside of playing sports. My best sport was/is golf since I was captain of the team in high school and almost started scoring in the 70s. Rusty now, but I'm definitely going to pick golf back up, enter some tournaments and try to go far with it.

I used to be athletic like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

You may all kill me now.

I'm with Scatz on the working out thing. I don't actually do any explicit working out, I just play sports. I'm too lazy to work out, it's boooooooooooooooring.

Sunny, I'm not particularly good at any sports. I'm decent, I guess, but that's about it. I just like to play.

Naaahh, I never liked sports all that much, even though everyone says I'm good or have potential. I'd play if I were with friends however.

I'll kill you with something that'll break your camping methods. Something like... Tying you down and making you watch MK/MK vs MK/MK for 2 days straight. >=)

But yeah, I've actually been working out in the gym regularly since my sophomore year in college. I love to work out now cause it lets me get some stress out the way and makes me feel good knowing my body is a little healthier.

I'm not that great at sports either lol. Just good enough to be competitive and have fun. Except for golf. I take that **** 500% serious.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Dude, I got Kirby's Return to Dreamland yesterday and started playing it with a bunch of my dorm mates. This game is actually hilarious when you play with a bunch of people who don't know what they're doing.

Ok so I ended up getting 13th out of 45.

I played Vinnie in winners and did a lot better then I thought I would. On the first stock of game 1 he was having trouble adapting to Yoshi so I took full advantage and got a semi early lead. By that I mean I killed nana with him over 100% and me being under 50 (both on our first stocks). So at that point I looked at the clock and saw it was already at 4 something minutes so I decided I wasn't going to kill popo. At fist it was working great. I got a bunch of grabs on him and didnt up smash out of any of them. He was already above 200% but eventually he got me to around 100 and I was starting to panick so I had to decide whether I should keep doing what I was doing or kill him xD I decided to kill him and to try to rack up as much damage as possible. Sadly Vinnie was just.... Vinnie (aka godlk) and he killed me almost right away. I forgot how both our second stocks went for that game but lets just say I lost it first and by the time I took his second stock I was already at like 40-50% for my last stock with under a minute left. Obviously I had to go in if I didn't wanna get timed out so that's exactly what I did :p I think I got him to about 30-40% when he got the GRAB. With this grab he was able to time me out making me lose game 1 ): Game 2 I cp'ed Delfino which made him switch away from IC's cause lol IC's on Delfino. There's not much to say for this, it was just me doing my usual Delfino shenanigans against his Peach. Game 3 it went back to his IC's on BF. I don't remember this match as clearly as game 1 for some reason but basically he would take my stock, I'd take his, and then again until we were both at our last stocks. Shortly after he got the grab and FIN. I died ); Although he wasnt even above 50% yet for that stock I felt like I was so close to causing a huge upset and it just went away.. With.. A... Grab... Either way it was a fun set and it sorta revived my competitive spirit that has slowly been dying lately.

I could never really play a good falco. Partly cuz I never put that much time into the character.

Anyway, my Yoshi is my only character that seems to be steadily developing other than DDD(who can become static at times).

My Falco just started as a casual secondary that thought some of the stuff players like DEHF do looked really badass, and decided I wanted to mess around with all the cool stuff they do. Then I just played it enough that it eventually got decent. I only did a little bit of solo practice with him (I don't have a Wii), resulting in a Falco that goes for all sorts of weird phantasm cancel stuff, but is still bad at a good number of the CGs.

Just keep going with whatever is working for you. My Yoshi was kinda hitting a wall, so a character change was a good call for me, but if you can only see progress in your Yoshi, keep at it~

There's kinda a conversation going on and I don't wanna interrupt and such but I figured this is probably the most acceptable place to introduce myself, My name is Nick and I'm from the area of Toronto Ontario, a few years ago I just grazed the surface of getting to play brawl competitively and now I'm looking at getting right back into it! I'm probably a shadow of what I was in comparison, and even before I wouldn't have called myself anything extraordinary, but I'd enjoy making the climb all over again. If anyone has any questions or wants to go a few rounds I'd love to meet some new training partners!

No it's not.
People have hated the way Yoshi plays since the release of brawl. I can't count the amount of times on my hands that somebody told me they hate Yoshi or just wish he wasn't in brawl from my own State/other tournaments I've been too.
