Why do people always call DragonForce's Music speed up? There are bands that play faster and better than DragonForce. But no one seems to want to call those bands fake? Why?

Because they're not aware of those other bands.
You can't be familiar with every band in the universe. Dragonforce is just a popular one.

Well, some other bands aren't frankenstein'd in the studio room. See Yngwie Malmsteen, Paul Gilbert, John Petrucci live for example.
See how they can keep tempo with everyone else.

Modern pop isn't terrible.

Well, not all of it, but there was never an era with pop music that was all good. A lot of people bash modern pop maniacally, sometimes unjustly as well.

And OP, it's because they like to suck the ***** are popular and make complete and utter **** that is called music by complete idiots great music and people just know what they're talking about and the band sucks major ball sacks judge them because they play fast and they can't handle the truth.

Agreed to the fullest. I mean it can be about murder and ****. Like Dance with the Devil is a great song but it is about a guy who gang ***** his own mom, and then committed suicide.



Oh, and pop is ****.

Metal isn't really music to me :/

I only like jazz and hip-hop.
Reggae is alright.

I'm pretty sure that Dragonforce has admitted to speeding up their songs while in the studio. However, that's not the reason why they're terrible.

The problem is that every new song by them sounds exactly the same. I love their old stuff from Valley of the ****ed and some of Sonic Firestorm, but I can't stand any of their new songs.

I'm honestly tired of people bashing entire genres of music. Every genre has it's crappy bands (yes, even metal), but some have more famous crappy bands than others (I'm looking at you, Kesha).

If you don't like pop, don't listen to it and don't insult people who do listen to it. It's just that simple.

This, except for every aspect of music in general. Doesn't matter how untalented someone is, even; you enjoy whatever type of music you enjoy, and you have just as much control over whether or not you enjoy listening to anything from Linkin Park to Britney Spears as you do whether or not you enjoy broccoli or asparagus.

But I don't see anyone laughing in my face because I enjoy broccoli and asparagus.

I made a blog on this subject a while back, but I think it went fairly unnoticed.

To each his own. That's something that the world needs to understand, accept, and live by already. The only time you can be listening to the wrong music is if you're listening to music ONLY because it's popular or indie, and you don't actually enjoy it.

Most crappy metal bands are american bands. thats one reason i think why americans (as a whole) dont like metal. there are very few good metal bands here but one that comes to mind is The Black Dahlia Murder, but they sound more like a scandanavian band. sweden has some good a** brutal ****en metal and if youre one of the people that diss metal entirely, try listening to some of theyr metal

haha yeah i was folowing that thread for a while, the flaming was terrible, like, most of the thread was just bashing. only the first 2 pages were about metal lol
