You can't hype something up THAT much and still expect it to be good. Hype of Detox's magnitude is horribly detrimental, especially in this age of music.

So no, Detox will suck. At least, initially it will suck. After it has marinated and people realize that it is pretty decent musically, it'll end up being okay overall.

Finally got my new laptop so i can start getting new music but I do not feel like having to redownload all of my old ****. Is there an easy way to transfer my music from my Iphone to my new computer? I am honestly not looking forward to this in even the slightest way.

^ My thoughts exactly.

And Savon I'm having the same problem, except I haven't trashed my old computer. I just wish I could like be able to turn on my computer one more time so I can do home sharing.

The music files on iphone's/ipods are hidden. When you make them visible you'll be able to pull every music file and move it to whatever. And when you sync the tracks back to the new comp's itunes it'l keep their names and info. Google it for the full intructions on how to do so.

hmm, never heard this one before.

kanye west ft. GLC - heavy hitters
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9qPu76jjhA
heard some nice Ye i never heard before from the related vids

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33OLNn-8YJE&NR=1
I heard both of those and like them a lot, speaking of those I have one to share myself.

Kanye West - I Met Oprah Winfrey

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_afVW0h51F8

These all seem to have came out in like 08, wonder if these were like leftovers from something around that time period? :o Either way wish I could download these, I tried but not much luck.

I had to pay for a program to do that when I got my new laptop and then had a HELL OF A LOT of editing to do afterwards.. -_- Sorry sir, there really isn't an easy way around that if the regular google searches don't work. If you got a certain type of iPod touch and laptop like I do... yeah... not gonna be fun in the slightest. lol Took me of couple of days and a LOT of bullshit to go around such as bugs to make sure I got everything on there. I might be missing a few songs (like 12 to be exact) out of my whole library when I transferred which was at like 2500 then and 2700 now. I wish you all a lot of luck with this project.. D:

Also looks like I'm listening to Chronic 2001 a lot sooner than I expected lol. I'll get started on the Chronic tonight.

Edit: Listening to Chronic and I'm on Lil' Ghetto Boy so far and I'm enjoying the shit out of this album. Can't wait to listen to 2001. Though I can't say that I'm surprised, it's hailed as a classic for a reason. lol

Can't say I got that one either lol..

Judging by the way it sounds and his flow on it I'd say it's older than that.. like pre-graduation old.. anyway if you're lookin for the tracks and are desperate (as in quality isn't that big of a deal) just find a youtube>mp3 converter.. the quality doesn't suffer much anyway.

also kids learn to use google, 99% of questions I see on here that have a definitive answer can be solved in seconds lol

Yeah I knew I could do the converter but if it sounds like **** it really isn't worth having to me. xD

Also Chronic Album was great, I'll listen to 2001 in full tomorrow or sometime sooner if I really feel up to it, already on my iPod and everything.

I love Lisa Ann. I read a while ago that she was getting married to some b-movie star and I wondered what it would be like to be married to a porn star. It would probably either be incredibly awesome or really depressing or maybe a mix of both.

I was thinking of it when I first read it because I'm a pervert like that. lmao

Also downloaded Frank Ocean's mixtape; Nostalgia, Ultra. Been hearing good things about the dude and I've like what I heard from him on Watch the Throne and a few other features, so I'll give him a listen. :o

I can't even express how happy I am right now. Listening to this album "Black Up" by Shabazz Palaces right now, and it's easily the best album I've heard allll year. Any genre. And the best music I've heard in a long time! I don't expect everyone to like this, but I've personally gotten very bored with new music in general and this is refreshing as hell for me. (Fun fact: This is actually Butterfly from Digable Planets, he's just under a different name/sound)

Tell me how the Frank Ocean Mixtape is Terrance, once you listen to it... I might wanna give it a ear or 2
No doubt, I'm about to listen now.

Also we have another person dissing Jay-Z and Kanye West.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-8MmmuhCNY&feature=player_embedded#!

A Christian rapper named Bizzle... sigh lmao even calls out Christian listeners saying how can we listen to these dudes... This guy really believes that Yeezy attempted to sell his soul or something xD.

Idk why so many people are going after these two lately, this one was surprising though, a Christian rapper attempting to make a diss record.... lol although surprisingly lyrically he's good lmfaooo

Edit:

Just listened to Nostalgia, Ultra and I gotta give it the thumbs up I like it. Idk if others would because it's pretty different lol. Sounds pretty smooth on the production for the most part and his voice to go with it but he touches subjects such as suicide and **** lmao. Not your usual R&B topics. But I look forward to more from him now :p Although I was looking at his other mixtape and I won't be giving it a download. Why you might wonder?

http://raprelapse.com/2011/05/mixtape-frank-ocean-the-lonny-breaux-collection/

64 songs on one mixtape...? Fuck that lol.

yo i heard that bizzle track last night. Hes definitely skilled, and dropped quality bars here and there.

However my problem with him, and basically any christian rapper is that they rap primarily about something that i as a religious skeptic dont feel is real. Too much religuous propaganda for me.

Were you expecting them to rap about uplifting the ghetto? The thing with christian rappers, or any type of rapper for that matter, is that if you know exactly what they're gonna rap about, is there any sense in complaining?

I'm a skeptic too but my problem with Gospel rappers is more so with their lack of skill on a mic. I don't give a **** about what somebody raps about as long as they're pretty dope at what they do.

you're right, it SHOULDNT matter what an emcee raps about. but for some reason, christian rapping gets to me because its basically them preaching and ****. it just annoys me haha.

Let the record show that I didn't turn the talk to religion but am just commenting on the topic from my Christian perspective. Also, I am not by any means preaching to anyone, again, just my view.

I remember a Christian rapper coming at Jay after On To The Next One, don't know if it's the same dude. I haven't heard No Church In The Wild or WTT. I listened to No Church In The Wild and the Bizzle track. I agree with Bizzle.

I don't know Kanye. I don't know Jay. I have no shred of information about their private life, their religious life, their belief systems and faith so I am in position to pass judgement on them at all. But what I can pass judgement on is their music.

And Jay's music man, it's a straight slap in the face at times towards Christ and Christianity.

Empire State of Mind, that track with Alicia, the biggest track worldwide a minute ago, all that hype, exposure, attention and hype, right? What does Jay say?

Mommy took a bus trip and now she got her bust out,
everybody ride her, just like a bus route,
Hail Mary to the city your a Virgin,
and Jesus can’t save you life starts when the church ends
Now don't tell me that these lyrics are about a chick's story and they have to be taken in context and that my interpretation is misconstrued. Look at what Jay actually says...

Jesus can’t save you life starts when the church ends
Jesus can’t save you
C'mon son.

What did Jesus come to do? To save us. What is Jay saying? He's straight out denying this. Point blank. He is straight saying Jesus can't do what Christ explicitly said He came to do. Jay is straight going against what Christ says and denying Him. Then he refers to the end of the Church, which Christ appointed. C'mon.

How can you verbalise anti Christ or anti Christian sentiment any clearer then saying Christ can't do what He said He will?

Again, not pushing any agenda at all, just my Christian view and again if you say I'm taking these bars out of context I will disagree with you strongly. I'd be really interested to see how people take these bars and more than open to deeper dialogue if Luigi allows it and if not I'm open to PM's.

Apologies for the double post but so as to not leave an incoherent post.

MBlaze, you're mad late with that Frank Ocean mega monster 50+ track mixtape. It's got some bangers.

Current tracks I'm spinning

Emilio Rojas - Breaking Point

Evidence - You (DJ Premier production)

Premo is the greatest, easy. Soon as I heard the beat I started smiling.
Well lemme know which ones because I ain't listening to all of that, I have a problem enough with double albums and that's more than double and in some cases triple to that of a double album... lol
