The only reason I'm asking is because the texture people get their own threads now, just wondering if it applied to BRSTM's. It'd also be easier for anyone looking for one of my songs to look at one thread than scanning the CMH. Just saying
EDIT: A whopping 326 songs total, and 17 pages if you look at Mediafire's standard 20 per page.
So...do I get a thread? Someone did a thread with only 2 textures
EDIT:Can I get an answer, please? Also, I'd post all mine in both, as I plan to make every Metroid song a BRSTM this year, that's a New Years' resolution of mine.

I don't think the Codesets subsubforum is needed. It should be in here, with the main ones stickied. I also don't get 'Workshop Brawl'. It's all Brawl+ related threads but the description is hard to follow and almost makes it sound identical to this subforum.

Wouldnt those legal reasons still exist simply from creating the forum?

It's like trying to hide drugs in the pocket of the person SECOND in line, rather than first. <_<

idk.

I'm still grateful btw, but I can't grasp this decision for the life of me.

Well, it's more like keeping the drugs in your shirt pocket instead of holding them in your hand.

But aye, I'm just glad changes were made. I like this new setup.

Yeah I'm really liking this. The one place to have workshop stuff was getting waaay too cluttered.

Hey guys, I've got some exciting news.

Me, mic_128, JV and Yeroc have all been coordinating the past few weeks on some new subforums to accommodate the growth and pace of the Workshop. You may notice now that Smash Workshop has been renamed to Smash Workshop General, which is a part of the plan. Our main focus is still catering to the Workshop community and the Custom Content community.

We're currently going to add a Tutorials, FAQs & Help thread -- the Workshop can help each other out with current codes and modifications, as well as offer advice and support to those who want it as well, from Project SA support to BrawlBox support, and codes as well.

Workshop Brawl will also be used to post about the biggest codeset and modifications to help as well.

Brawl Code Sets will be home to any mini-projects like Balanced Brawl, Brawl-, Project: M, etc.

For those that want to showcase your new projects -- no longer will you be restricted to one thread as well. We've heard your input and now bring you a Customized Content subforum, so if you have a texture, stage hack, or character PSA to show, you can post it in there!

Hope you guys like it! We're in the process of moving topics now, and later this morning, the forum will be re-open.

Note that this board is meant to post your projects so that you can get feedback on them and make them available for download and play.

They include but are not limited to:
- Model Swaps made with BrawlBox
- Custom Models (when an Injector is released)
- Character PSAs made with Project SA
- Stage Textures and Modifications (including SSE stages and stages edited with BrawlBox or BrawlWall)
- Character Textures

There are not supposed to be individual threads showcasing your work. If I see those, I'm locking them spot on. The only exception to this rule is if you are keeping all of your projects in a single new thread and getting feedback instead of putting your projects up for download in separate threads.

Thanks!
So what are we supposed to do? A thread per project? What about that exception? My "Mewtwo2000's Showcase" thread is for keeping all of my projects in a single thread instead of putting my projects in separate threads O.o

Then you're fine, it's the texture people who he's really gonna crack down on, methinks

About that exception...

Stuff that is still incomplete and may need fine tuning or more feedback to it (like Eldiran's topic that has Wisp and Zero, both of which are not final and still coming out with different releases on balancing and such) can be considered OK.

Things that are like texture, stage or PSA related releases in a showcase thread that are final and don't need feedback or anything are not OK.

That's pretty much the drawn line here.

This announcement will help a lot, but what about the Tutorials, FAQs, and Help room? I think it might be a good idea to unlock the hacking support thread, since people are using its current state to their advantage and are making threads for every single little problem or question, unless you intended it to be like that. One of the people doing that has created 7 threads now with questions that would have been answered in one post in the Hacking Support Thread.

To be honest, it was going to be for every question, and I was going to make an FAQ thread based on answered questions or already common knowledge...I do agree something needs to be done, but I was trying to avoid stuffing everything inside the Support Thread like the Character Archives.
