I'll take a look and see how to unlock them, then I will spend a while thinking of who I'm going to try and unlock first.

I have a feeling the full roster will be known before the Japanese release. Sakurai said that HE wants to be the one to reveal the roster.

Do you honestly believe that all three Kirby characters and third party characters (he said they are going to be unlockable.) are there from the start?

You're fooling yourself if you think we've only seen the starting roster so far.

I still think there will be 1 or 2 characters that Sakurai doesn't tell us and lets us figure it out.
I believe the 3rd party character updates are just for advertisement.

The second point may be true, but I doubt the first point. Besides it doesn't stop the fact that we have three Kirby characters revealed. It is VERY unlikely that all three of them are starters.

I'm probably going to be the one who will be leaking the characters for the rest of the world.

I'm going to be in England when it comes out and unable to play it for a month and a half after it comes out so, needless to say, temptation will probably have the better of me by the time I come home to the States.

I'm gonna avoid the smash boards and the dojo whenever we get to within a month of the release. I also refuse at this point to watch any of the subspace emmissary videos until after i play it.

I won't have to. I have every intention of knowing the full roster before then, from when we get leaks out of Japan after their release.

Seriously, I don't see what the big deal is with knowing the characters in advance. Its the same surprise whether you learn of them while playing the game or while on the internet. And personally, I don't find anything fun about stumbling blindly through the game trying to unlock characters when I haven't the first clue how to do it, so I know I'm going to look up how to that online too.

I might as well check, because I just know I'm going to be spoiled by someone else eventually... I'd rather learn it from the leaks than have someone blabber about it to me. I'll only want to see the character's names and how to unlock them, though. I don't want to see what they look or behave like in Brawl.

No, I wouldn't check the character list. What I'll probably do is get one of my parents or siblings to print out an unlock guide and then white out the names of the characters, stages, etc, so i know how to unlock the extras and can do it as fast as possible, but be surprised at what they are

I want to see the full roster.

I see no spoilers within knowing the final roster. However, with the exception of one thing I will avoid SSE spoilers like the plague.

I will try to avoid finding out, I love the suprise of finding a character when I didnt know they were in the game. this is the perfect way of improving my control on temptation and lazyness anyways. I do hope though my freinds dont give them away to me...

I couldn't agree more. While I would rather not have SSE spoilers in the case it does turn out to be a decent "game of it's own," I will probably end up looking up not only who the characters are, but how to unlock them. Look at the surprise when new characters are revealed on the Dojo, do you think it would be the same while playing the game? Probably, or even possibly to a lesser degree.

**** yeah I will, how else will I know everything before I actually play the game :p I don't consider that type of thing a spoiler, to me a spoiler is like something that happens in the story and even then I don't care.

I seriously don't care. The only thing I like is how they appear spontantenously, so if I can, I won't see how to unlock them. Besides, these would only be minor spoilers when compared to other ones I've seen on accident.

I think I bought the Melee guide before I even bought the game. I remember being very surprised and excited just by looking through all the characters in the guide. ("OMG MEWTWO!", "Who's Mr. Game & Watch?") I also had plenty of fun trying to unlock them. It won't bother me at all knowing the final roster, or even knowing how to unlock them.

i'll try not to... but does anyone think SWF is going to put them on the character specific section?

i'm going to try to avoid SWF when it releases in japan anyway.

Nah, he probably is stalling with crappy updates so the Japanese don't get spoiled.

Yeah, I agree. I would only want to know the final roster, but I want to find out about SSE myself.

I bought my GameCube, my copy of Melee, and Prima's "strategy guide" to the game all in one go, on the first day of release. I read and skimmed through the whole guide on my way home, memorizing how to unlock some of, what I thought to be, the potentially easier characters and stages to unlock before I even touched the outer casing of my brand new gaming system.

Do you honestly think I'm going to wait even a few hours to procure any amount of insight I possibly can into Brawl's final roster? I actually find it rather laughable that some of you here are claiming you'll do anything even remotely contradictory to what I'll be doing the day the roster's finally announced/revealed.

I'd rather not know everything about the game before it comes into my hands, like characters and SSE. I don't think they'll tell all this on Dojo, but here... hmmm.

Really too bad I cannot import it. :p

Unless a character is a spoiler in the Storyline of the game, I really don't mind finding out if they are in the game.

Melee was one game especially I really didn't care about character spoilers. I also knew of the 64 characters before I got that game...

...I'm happy as long as their are characters IN the game I don't know much about...or at all...

(Ness, Captain Falcon (64), Ice Climbers, Roy, Game & Watch, etc. (Melee))

Definitely now. I've never been so hyped for a game. There's no way I could resist.
