god Luke you still have this thread about Lucas replacing Ness? well for one I will agree with you that both Ness & Lucas do have similar PK jsut like Sakurai mentioned, however though I still believe Ness's PK could vary from Lucas's not just in appearnce on how they do it, but also in damage I'm just hoping for them not to be clones though because I really want Ness to return

He can only use PK Rockin and PK Flash, that's not enough to solidify a complete moveset.
As mentioned, there's quite a few other moves that can be used to make up a new moveset for Ness. Sakurai's team can even rely on the various items you collect in EarthBound if they find it necessary to (seeing as how it seems that Sakurai is interested in making Lucas more of a PK-oriented character, meaning that Ness can take up a role as a "weapons" specialist, so to speak, with a few PK powers of his own).

Lucas' is Ness' descended successor...

Why is there need for Ness' return?

Sadly they do even if you're in denial.
Then why are they better than your baseless and ****ty opinions and actually supported by something?

But I pity you, you don't have to debate with me if you want. I'm way out of your league. Just go back to your little Ashley support topic and be in denial about her inclusion in Brawl.

Because I really don't see why the two can't co-exist. Ness is, in my opinion, the most recognizable character of the Mother franchise and Lucas is the newest icon - they're both extremely significant, so why not have them both?

Your mom's bedroom.
I never liked Ness much, and I believe that Lucas would be a viable replacement for him. However, if they want to bring him back, they can just make him like the Smash 64 one, which was pretty good. I just don't see how Ness could fight with the strong advanced cast of SSBB players like Ridley, DDD, Ike, Pit, and MK. Don't shoot me for it though...

Well, he is a powerful psychic that defeated the incarnation of evil itself, which was born from an alien being more disturbed than any creature in ANY other game...

You start to sound silly when you overuse swears for no apparent reason, even more so when we're on a censored forum.

Anyhow, just here to congratulate you guys. You got your wish.

I was hoping it was pretty obvious that when I said "you guys", I was referring to the TC and his supporters.

You're not very good at coping with stress, are you? Or perhaps you're just too young to. Oh well.

Your points aren't that good at all.

Point 1: Your comparison between lucas + ness and link+ link is completely ********. Link is still the same person he just looks different. A better comparison would be fox and falco.

Point 2: This is basically your own biased opinion. Ness would have a different moveset. From what has been shown it looks like that only 3 of Lucas' attacks are like Ness'. Those being his side special, down special, and up special. And even those can be changed.

Point 3: That doesn't matter. Do the Ice Climbers have a rich backround? How about the miscellaneous Pokemon Trainer and Pikachu.

Bam! Owned by a 14 year old!!

By the way what the thread maker said was true. Most of you people that have been posting earlier haven't done anything. You've just made completely stupid comments and tried to insult the thread maker.

Uh, no, Link in each main game (not counting the spinoffs and AoL) is different, which has been revealed in multiple interviews with Miyamoto and Aonuma along in Wind Waker itself. And no, a better comparision wouldn't be Fox and Falco. Ness and Lucas aren't in every game with each other nor are they close friends.
Point 2: This is basically your own biased opinion. Ness would have a different moveset. From what has been shown it looks like that only 3 of Lucas' attacks are like Ness'. Those being his side special, down special, and up special. And even those can be changed.
Don't forget the multiple pictures showing that Lucas has pretty much most of Ness' A moves, although this update shows that the A moves have been expanded.
Point 3: That doesn't matter. Do the Ice Climbers have a rich backround? How about the miscellaneous Pokemon Trainer and Pikachu.
Yes, the Ice Climbers was the first to have the engine used in the Super Mario Bros. games, and yes as they're both stars to their own series. The star of the Mother series is the most recent main character, which is Lucas. Ever wonder why Ness was in Smash originally instead of Ninten? It wasn't because Ness was known at both sides of the world, the game wasn't even going to be released outside Japan originally, so you can't say Sakurai planned to appeal to a worldwide basis (and mind you only America and Japan got to play Mother 2/Earthbound, Ness was pretty foreign to the rest of the world).

Ness is out and I don't care. I want to main Lucas now. I love the Mother series and I will probably main Lucas since he looks so much better. Well, that is if Claus isn't playable. Claus would be without a doubt, my main.

So when someone disagrees with a well thought out, rational post, the immediately opinion is that the thread should be deleted?

Why is "This thread should be deleted" a relevant argument? Luke made a rational argument to support his opinion. What makes this wrong? The point of this board is to debate and discuss inclusion of nintendo characters in brawl. This thread originally brought up a fairly new concept which entirely related to the inclusion of lucas and replacement of ness. It was both ontopic as well as considerably logical, which is extremely rare for most topics on this board ("Sora in brawl becuz i can leet tlak.")

One overused argument that really annoys me is "You don't know lucas's moveset. Because of this, you have no right to speculate." I thought the entire purpose of the board was to speculate? You don't complain in the Stafy for brawl threads, so why do you complain here? It seems people are so quick to attack anyone who disagrees witht hem that they don't realize how bad their thinking is. We know a considerable amount more about lucas's moveset than we do about ness's inclusion in brawl. We also know a considerable amount more about lucas's moveset than anything that has to do with Ridley. At least allow speculation that disagrees with your pro-ness stance to continue at the same rate as your favorite metroid creature.

Regardless of the pointless namecalling and egotistical opinion stating the tc resorts to, this thread is still as valid as any others, in my opinion.

No, because I never stated that my own does.
At the moment I would say Experiences.
when you diminish the importance of someone else's opinion, you imply that you know more. I don't think it's possible to imply anything aside from "my opinion is better, which is why I'm allowed to criticize yours".

Define "experiences". Why do you bring them up, and what do they refer to?

I say your opinion doesn't matter because it does not benefit in anyway.

Experience as a general concept comprises knowledge of or skill in or observation of some thing or some event gained through involvement in or exposure to that thing or event.
Because, at the moment, it was the answer to your question.

I think Luke made good points... he just shouldn't lash out at someone when they disagree with him... it kinda sucks when you see someone with a well written opinion, then someone ignorantly disagrees with it and BAM person one brings out the verbal guns.

Oh well.
