I'd love to go, but seeing as how I rarely get to a tourney as it is, spending that amount of money on ONE tournament that I don't see myself doing so well at due to the immense amount of talent expected to be there is a waste when I could enjoy myself at multiple events. If I didn't have a lack of transportation/money problems when it comes to attending standard local tournaments, then it wouldn't be as much of an issue, but seeing how things are the way they are, I'll just have to think about it and see what happens.

See, you provide your own answer as to why coming is the right answer. Pound 4 is more than just a tournament, it is an experience. Sure, it is a competition that gathers many from around the world, yes, but it is also a chance to meet up with all those major players you always wanted to meet. Think about meeting ShadowROB or HolyNightmare. getting to meet them and play smash with them in person is a pretty epic event. You can learn so much here! Just the experience alone is worth the weekend.

I'm poor, and modern warfare 2/ odst is what I've been saving for which is probably worth more than entering. How much is it just to spectate/mm and how much is off if i bring a wii?

Is the 6th installment of one very reptitive and similar series and the 4th installment of an average to good 360 game and a great original xbox game really worth skipping pound 4? When you can just rent them and play them whenever you'd like. Instead, save your 120 bucks, spend 50 of it on Pound 4, and show off your skills, and then buy one of the games you listed.

You raise a good point though- Jon! whats the venue discounts (if any?)

i'm going to pound 4. if you play smash competitively at ALL, and you live within a 160 mile radius, and you are able to make it, you really have no excuse not to go.

like tant said, it's not just a tournament, it's an experience of a lifetime. i didn't even make it out of pools at COT4 and i had a freaking blast hanging out with OOS'ers and watching matches. Money johns are the dumbest excuse to make at this point, considering it's not til january. honestly if you don't go to pound 4 when you live so ****ing close, you should just quit smash (poyo style) people are coming from CANADA and EUROPE and probably south america for this ****.

go, or hang yourself with your gamecube controller (make sure you get the white one with the extra long cord, unless you're deez or sin)

like i said, how much is it just to watch? I'm 16 w/o a job. There are other things that I could buy that would probably be worth it more. I just wanna go so I can money match all the oos ppl and do friendlies and record matches and do livestream and stuff.
