Now, I propose a new conundrum. Shouldn't every pokemon be able to learn slack off? Surely every pokemon should have the ability to just not do anything.
Vigoroth's Pokedex entry says it's impossible for it to remain still for any length of time, iirc.

And actually I think that they can. Trading over a rebellious Pokemon that's over the level you're allowed by the badges you have, it can sometimes start loafing around, which pretty much sounds like the same thing as Slack Off except without the healing. Perhaps Slack Off users know some sort of secret trick that lets them get health or something.

And yet vigoroth can have slack off...

Exactly, if every pokemon can "loaf around" why can't they "slack off", just using the strict text of the move?

That would be incredibly broken if every pokemon had a 50% recovery move. Ma ybe some pokemon have too high of a work ethic. Snorlax on the other hand...

I thought we were talking about the possible moves they could have if Pokemon were actually realistic. Ya it'd be broken as hell for some but there's no reason why the Pokemon can't just lie down and nap for a while to get some health back i.e. learning Slack Off.

@KrazyGlue imo, Nintendo should make it that they stick to their Pokedex entries more, and maybe delete certain moves when they evolve.

On that subject, Weavile needs Crunch. (he also really needs technician, but that doesn't belong here)

More pokemon need support moves like Featherdance and Charm, particularly special walls that aren't blissey. There's lots of viability in moves like those, particularly when trying to run a stall team.

Weavile just needs a move with more than Base 75 Power.

By that I mean with 120 Attack it needs base 120 STAB to be useful.

Yes, but I thought we weren't taking into consideration how it would affect the metagame.

Also why can't Natu learn Fly?

i mean, they should let every flying pokemon learn fly, but only allow some to use it in-game

why does salamence learn fly naturally?
also, how do doduo and dodrio learn fly without wings?

I never got that considering that they are ostriches, which according to my teachers, don't fly

Technically shouldn't anything with arms learn dig? I mean, if you have arms, you certainly can dig right?

Dodrio is like The Flash. He has control over the molecules of his body which he can vibrate at incredible speeds to allow for things like flight and intangibility. He can also do the Infinite Mass Peck.

i think in the next game, anything with wings should learn fly but only those that are large/strong enough to carry the main character can use it outside of battle

like pidgey can learn fly but only pidgeot would be able to use it outside of battle
