I don't think I learned anything from your exchange with Ran that changes my thoughts on either of you.

You've got other people that also say that they're not sure on the scumminess of soup, but the game is gridlocked until he flips, do you find them scummy?

If that's what you got out of the exchange, then you're literally not even reading it. I'm not reading Ran as scum from him seeing Soup as town, jfc.

Here's the summary I made for Gorf:
Lore Lore

Quick summary/timeline then.

1. Ran first said he "couldn't defend the claim" and did a lot of hand-wringing over being OK with Soup dying despite him being a town read and a claimed PR.

2. I developed a case against him by looking into his actions at End of Day 1, where I found that he has acted super weird about his Soup read. The main issue is that he suddenly and without warning dropped off of Soup.

3. When pressed on this point, he cited Spak's town flip as his reasoning, despite the sudden drop happening BEFORE the flip.

4. We had a back and forth where he then brought up a multitude of reasons that he had for dropping off Soup, despite never having shared them at the time.

5. Chief among them was that he saw Soup's reads as solid, specifically that he realized he could use Soup (his major scum read until the last minute of D1) to work together and push lynches. This is despite him directly criticizing Soup's play and reads multiple times.

6. The back and forth continues where we debate 4 and 5. You will have to read that one and decide how you feel on it; he ends up arguing that saying "Soup's reads were scum spewing and not townie" didn't mean that he criticized Soup's reads. Up to you on who was right here.

7. Then when pressed on his close to the chest play, he opens up about wanting to push Marshy but not feeling like he could. He essentially says here that he would rather let his supposed town read (and a claimed PR) die rather than push Marshy to get a different lynch.

That's my version of the events as I see them.

You said the same for Lore vs Soup D1.

What do you consider a meaningful exchange that has happened in this game yet

Anything that you think may be important to look into? Where's your head at the moment? Aside from wanting Soup dead of course.
Not meaningful: most things involving Lore. Soup spewing trash.

Meaningful: EoD 1, especially with a Soup flip in hand. Gorf's D2 performance. Hopefully Tom's grand return to form.

What I want to look into most are Marshy and FF, but which and why depends on Soup's flip.

My head is on a Soup lynch. My head wants to solve Tom and Kev but has to wait on both of them to finish a reread. My head needs to reread Ran but has no desire to do so without first having a Soup flip. My head is watching Lore do things I thought were scummy last game that I still think were scummy, but has to sort what his actual alignment is despite that. My head has no really strong read on you other than not scum if Soup is scum. My head doesn't have major issues with Pythag despite other player opinions. My head is bored.

Also, I'll rejoin you on Soup to hammer him at EoD or when FF, Tom, and Kev are back in the game.

lore: dive less into massive 1v1s and your content is less likely to be brushed aside

How else are we supposed to get info from people? Ask them a question, get a response, then instantly stop the conversation?

It doesn't help that half the ****ing game feels like it is inactive again or barely skimming the thread, while at least you have your note taking as a reason.

i feel scumhunting is more panning for gold horizontally than it is digging for oil vertically. if you dig super deep into conversation about one thing, and theres a response, and you respond, and theres a response, and you respond... it creates a feedback loop that quickly gets dismissed and i feel also loses touch with the start of the 1v1. like how much good info do you really get. most notably you definitely lose the feel that you are searching for intent / investigating and you gain a feel that you are prosecuting/persecuting

we get just as much, if not more, info from people by watching what they do/did compared to directly interacting them. obviously 1v1 interaction is important to have when you feel particularly motivated to talk to someone about something. other than that, you can also address the thread as a whole. and people will take hold of what theyre intrigued by. and its more interesting imo to see players doing something because they felt motivated to, rather than obliged to weigh in.

and he said "less" into massive 1v1's, not "none."

i wouldnt call this inactive. id call it low energy. i predict the game sparks back up by d3

take me back to when you originally scumread+voted lore early D1. do me a favor and recant that experience from your pov in your own words for me
I voted him in RVS for moving his vote, and then that read strengthened when I saw him vote soup in an opportunistic manner. My read didn't really change from there as he wasn't really doing much until the SOUP CLAIM page. I thought it was odd he was using my numbers question to force a team of Soup and myself. I didn't like his vote initially but it didn't make sense until after seeing soup claim and explode. It just seemed like he was trying to find things on me before considering the read on me with a neutral perspective.

If that's a legitimate question, regardless of alignment, I'll go into it at length in post game.

Correct. I voted him for moving his vote in rvs. My read on marshy was null, but I was already having questions for him. I was mostly applying the 'don't push or consider marshy too hard D1, wait and see instead' to him since trying to push him early doesn't matter (especially if he has a chance of dying like he did N1).

#HBC | marshy #HBC | marshy In your #258 you ask Gorf about Ryker and Spak. What was your conclusion from that answer of his? What's your take on Gorf and Spak?

I am incredibly confident. I can be wrong, which is why I need the flip before I start acting like I have connections that aren't established. However Soup's play is absolutely disgusting and the only reason to keep him around is WIFOM that assumes him to be complete dog ****.
So if I have this correct, you are lynching me on the premise I would be playing better if I was town?

Tom Tom you liked Kary's 417

wouldn't today be the absolute best time for a 'policy' lynch?
i interpreted kary's policy lynch on soup to mean "if you're going to be highly dramatic in this manner we should lynch you on principle"

did you still feel this is the case early d1? sounds to me like you think its about the claim

what was it specifically about lore moving his vote in rvs that was scummy?
I thought it showed a lack of desire to scumhunt. Thought it was also odd that he went from wanting to end RVS to going back to a silly vote.

But did you think Tom's picture was 3 monitors, inspiring this post? Because I did.
