I got you, Xyro. Although my full setup all comes with the Wii and a TV with Smash 64 installed along with Melee, Brawl, and Project M.

There may be a change in plans if I go to this. Question. Could anyone in Dallas/Fort Worth house me? I may have to megabus in to this from Memphis and Memphis buses only go to Dallas/Fort Worth so I was wondering if someone from there could help me out?

Iv been getting some PMs and stuff about my mid tier 1vs1 and my low tier 2vs2 events. So I will clarify this one last time.

D/E/F tier are considered MID TIER so only those characters can play in the MID TIER 1vs1 event. Yes, this includes GW.

As for low tier, its pretty self explanatory. G/H tier are the only legal tiers for low tier 2vs2.

I am using v7 of the tier list http://smashboards.com/threads/official-bbr-tier-list-v7.321738/

The thing about Smash 64 on VC reminded me to look into this:

If console arguments arise, will a Nintendo64 be the default? I can make sure I have at least two of them with me, probably a few more with the right people. Most 64 tournament rulesets I've seen have the original console on default and then VC/emulator can be substituted if desired.

Ive never had this issue come up because I do not run ssb64 events....ever.

How common is it for people to choose wii over n64 or 64 over wii?

LA is pretty much 64 only because all the tourney players have one available to them (most everybody owns one, but we all hang out a lot so it's no big deal). Overall, I really couldn't tell you. I'd think Wii is more accessible for people and emulator is useful for keyboard players, but it seems more consistent to use the original console in the long run. It saves time setting things up on the emulators and adapters, etc. It's the original medium so it takes precedent, to my knowledge, in tournaments. That's how we use it in LA; taking a look at the 64 boards might help clear up any confusion, see what special cases have been made over time.

EDIT:

It says that console is strongly preferred.

you mean 64 console.

ok thats fine. if people bring both i am ok with it but if the majority of people bring 64 then thats how its gonna be played mostly.

Any great low tier players wanna team with me? My Link is one of (if not the) best, and I play support, so I need someone who can lead well. I'm playing to win the low tier event, so I really need a great player for his/her low tier character.

I main Mario, and can also use Lucas pretty well. I'd be looking for a teammate for LT doubles. Let me know if you're interested.

As xyro said bring both so there is a variety. I had someone ask me about the pc version of it as well so its best to bring whatever you can bring. When all the players get there they can make a decision on which one they want to enter. Im down to host on whatever platform everyone agrees on.

Yes his is unoriginal but the words were powerful and hit home. I felt like not only did he insult ME but my city and my STATE as well.

When I meet this dirt bag bich in real life, im gonna turn my hat backwards and shove my zair so far up his TLs' cel shaded azz that he wont want to spend the $600 remaining dollars he has left. As he walks away from the TV set in SHAME for losing to a LOW TIER, im going take my $200 cash, s h i t on it and then make paper airplanes out of it and throw it at him for the entirety of the tournament.

This is why grammar is important-no shade but do you mean "your" instead of addressing someone in particular?

How much internet bandwidth does the venue have? I would love to set up a side livestream separate from the main one, but if it'll cause problems then forget it...
