well, the first thing i do, before i even open it, is inviting my friend over to coop subspace. if it works the way i think, then i'll pretty much pick kirby over mario, so kirby i guess.

then again, if he wants to fight first, then i think metaknight or pit, assuming you don't have to unlock them.

there's really a lot of things that'll make my mind up for me.

I'll use Mario through Classic mode, as always. Then I'll start practicing with other characters and pick the ones I like best.

I expect I'll have a VS match with Mario first against a random character, and cycle through them left-to-right and play against a random opponent, just to get a feel for eac one and find out their moves and effects. I'll essentially experiment before I do anythnig serious.

If Ike is unlockable I will start with a melee veteren... maybe fox because he was my very first main in 64...

I am going to play as Yoshi. But I might first go to training mode, to see how the game works, the new stages, and the new items. I will probably either play on Yoshi's Island, or Battlefield first, but most likely battlefield. I am also going to play Mario probably.
But after, I'm gonna play a quick classic mode, and then plundge right into the SSE. Then, of course, I will go into 1vs1 and FFAs with my friends, since none of them have wiis, and they really really wanna play this game.

Stage will be battlefield... seems like a good starting stage...
