if marth's sword had the priority of falco's lasers like metaknight in brawl, easily marth would win.

but this isnt the case. marth does not have metaknight's light saber.

falcons SH air time is 31 frames. first laser comes out at frame 13 and a repeated shot would come out 16 frames later. 29 frames needed to shdl with falcon..

so falcon can shdl with a 3 frame window like fox, making powershields an obsolete counter to the lasers.

i guess marth can powershield the first one and sh over the second one

Ace, good theory, but we're talking about these two specific moves.
Also, I only argued for falcon. Marth couldn't combo as well as most of you think. Setting up fair so it sends you up more than a few times is silly hard, and leading them into a spike would be hard considering his horizontal mobility. I guess you could rack up damage, but getting a spike in wouldn't be much more of a viable option.

The stage control is too ridiculous. Marth with the jumps doesn't suddenly combo people to death a ton more than he does already

it's not broken in a dumb way. It's not just like jamming a broken move like falco's shine or laser or rest on a character with good physics.

It complements Falcon's moveset and weaknesses in a really good way which is why I think it's cool.

But yeah, it's not stupidly broken. Like JC rest or whatever. lol

I think Falcon with extra jumps would be really funny. And a lot better than Marth with extra jumps.

Well, the laser would make Falcon better because Falcon Punch is virtually useless in tourney combat. The laser is viable.

But six jumps for an excellent edgeguarder with decent second jumps would make him very horribly tough.

I think both would be broken but lasers can be avoided and shield reflected. You can't do much about 6 jumps from marth.

GaW with 9 on Judgment exclusively is better than most stuff

Safe on block, more priority than most stuff, can be combo'd into, etc.

It's so tempting to say Marth with 6 jumps. But it's a really close call.
