I like to use the Wii Mote + Wii Nunchuck combination.

I purchased a new gamecube controller off of amazon, It's amazing. Way better the the 7 year old controller I previously used. I use Classic, Wiichuck, and gamecube on wifi. I play the same with all 3 controllers the **** lag on wifi ruins the fun of competitive matches.

Wiichuck has the advantage because you can input actions faster than you can on a gamecube, in some situations with the right configuration. I play the exact same with a wiichuck and gamecube if I'm not pressured. I would agree that if you don't play with 3 controllers that gamecube is best, it does have a c-stick after all. I hate using the same controller every game it gets too easy to create habits.

One of my favorite configs for wiichuck

-=dpad=-
up=attack
left/right=grab
down=special

a=Sheild
b=Attack
A+B=jump

1=grab
2=attack
1+2=sheild

Glide toss can be done with wiichuck my 11year old sister does it all the time with zss
