i would watch this since u can just watch 4-5 and have an ending but there is different tellings of the story so makes it great.

Higurashi is definitely better. Also it's finished, so you can just download the whole thing and watch instead of waiting for each episode to get subbed as they come out. And the group that was doing M+H (gg) just quit, so finding subs has gotten a lot harder.

Kara no Kyokai: Garden of sinners- good action and great story
Series
GTO- it's one of my faves
Wolf's rain- its kinda old but I like it.
Fate Stay Night- if you seen the anime check out the Visual Novel. It's 1000x better
