Liek, no wai! Brawl coming ot on March 5th would make me happy cuz then you and me could go get it on our birthday, and it would make NintendoWarrior happy because it comes out later than Feb. 10th! Hooray!
Hehe, I'll be happy as long as I get it some time. I guess it doesn't matter since it will be a better game if they hold it, but we'll be pleased sooner if it comes out earlier.

I retract my March 3rd prediction due to my mother's sainthood being revoked. Now I propose November of 08! Why? Because we could have our presidential hopeful duke it out one on one in SSBB. I can see it know! Them flexing thier political muscles as they jam away at thier wiimotes and classic controllers. Who would main whom though....hmmmm....

SSBB in November of 08! Decide who will run your country and the best at SSBB!

(This obviously applies to States members.)

Man, NintendoWarrior's faith must have been completely destroyed by the (relatively modest with a hint of aggravating) pushback to Feb. 10. He seems to appear in every thread, reminding people that we won't neccesarily get this game in February.

I think it will likely come out on schedule. There's little reason it should come out after the Japan release as it will. It's clear from the shots, video, and demo that this game is coming together and being developed in both languages simultaneously. What gives with the delay? We'll know ALL the secret characters by the time the game comes out in America, same as melee.

Brawl will be released Holliday 2008. I gaurentee it.

BUT MAN I HOPE I AM WRONG!
First off, im not one to correct people but, I believe its GUARANTEE. Also, I truly doubt that it would come out dec 08. That just doesnt make sense. The worst i could see is a summer delay.

You guys sure are confident despite a "confirmed" Dec. 3rd date incident.
I don't remember Reggie Fils-Aime being a member of the Smash Bros. development team...

Wait, lemme check...

...hmmmmm....

...NNnnnnope, I'm not seeing it.

If it got people to preorder the game, it makes sense to tell them it's coming out sooner than later.

And, crazy as it may sounds, perhaps they WERE going to release it December 3rd and ran into some technical glitches they knew they wouldn't have fixed by then? Case in point, two glitches found in the E for All demo: the Metaknight 999% damage glitch that happened a few times (there's a video in the E for All video thread that actually has this glitch recorded) and, from what I heard, the Giga Bowser freeze glitch that caused the game to freeze if Giga Bowser was taunting right before he reverted to regular Bowser.

I don't think they want to hold this game back, not a game that can push the system so much. Besides which, unlike my previous joke, this game actually has things like footage and a working demo...things that suggest that the game is a fairly decent way through development. They didn't announce Sonic until a little over a week before E for All, if even that long, and yet they had his fully playable character integrated into the demo. That suggests that they've had it finished for a while, which would suggest all the other characters they've announced are probably long since finished (other than maybe some technical hiccups with odd characters like Pokemon Trainer and so forth)

Point of Rant: I see absolutely no reason why they wouldn't be able to deliver on the February 10th release date. And no, I really, REALLY don't think they'd delay it longer for more hype...that'd do nothing but hurt the faith of the consumer base that's been established for this game, and wouldn't be smart fiscally for the company.

They've already hurt the faith of the consumer base. Too late for that.

Feb 10. Period.
Any questions?
Seriously, everyone hoped Twilight would be pushed forward as a "surprise"! That one was wishful thinking...

Feb 10th. Delays aren't always based around unit sales. Not to mention Nintendo isn't even that concerned about the holiday rush. Reggie stated that in an interview somewhere I think. Or that Kaplin chick...

Bottom line, they sell units all year round. Really big games are shipped earlier than usual so that they're in stores on the release day while other games are just shipped on the release day (some larger stores still get them.) Fyi Monday is the day of games. Tuesday is DVD releases.

Do I think Brawl will be delayed again? No its unlikely simply because the game is not that big. Characters, mechanics, items, stages. Its not a huge adventure like TP. I do however think that you may have found the branch of denial that goes

Denial - Anger - Semi acceptance - pessimism - 180 degree change in view (instead of not wanting a delay you want to want it so that when it turns out not to be delayed you can feel great about it)

Well, Wasn't brawl suppose to be a launch title game? lol. That was back in 2006. It's 2008 now.

I say somewhere between Feb 10th-May 2008.

December 2nd, 2008, eh?

Have you seen the demo in action? It's looks pretty complete to me, for what was in there at least.

I say Sunday, February 10th, 2008. Get ready to Brawl then... unless you're so convinced that you'll still wait to buy it till December 2nd of that year. In which case forget you, I'll be brawling right out of the gates.

February 10th FTW
