Flight, teleportation, time travel, morphing into animals or telekenisis. I'd be happy with any of those.

How do you figure? I don't see how those things are related to backwards flowing blood. It seems like what you really ought to be going for is some kind of mind manipulation.

My power over blood derives from a Zen like mastery of my body, and knowledge of nature. You could call it a "natural" type power, referring to both the fact that being in touch with one's body is natural, and so is being in touch with the earth.

Allow me to relate the origin of a hero or villain who would use this power:

In modern times, technology has advanced at an insane rate. Some scientists have theorized that evolution, in humans and all organisms, is beginning to speed up in order to keep organisms on the same level as mechanisms. Some humans have supposedly evolved a part of their brain to be able to listen to the vast amount of radio waves moving through the air, the same waves controlling the many electronics in our world. They can then redirect these signals, and thus "talk to" or control machines.

Their is a small sect of humans who reject this machine/man relationship, and instead seek to be in harmony with their bodies and nature. One such sect has gained such control of their bodies that they can control not only their limbs, and organs, but can communicate on a base level with the blood cells flowing through their veins. Tapping into the mysterious and sophisticated supervising power of their brains, the can send signals into their own body, to the heart, veins, and cells themselves to cause their own blood to begin running backwards. They have trained themselves to be at peace with this normally agitated state, and even gain from it, but they can use it offensively too. When their super sophisticated blood cells enter an area with other human blood cells, the cells themselves send out the message to begin imitating them, similar to how trees communicate via pheromones.

Everyone's blood starts running backwards, and yes, if this power were used on a normal human, they would die. This power is intended for use on other superhumans, who are able to still survive, but are highly agitated due to not being in control of their own body. Imagine how a 60 year old man might feel after seeing an action movie, kind of pumped up, but a little confused and unable to really deal with the extra adrenaline. That's how this power makes you feel, but at about 100X.

Lastly, the blood running upwards. This refers to say, fresh blood on a wall. The dominant blood cells are sending out such strong signals that the submissive blood cells want to move in reverse so bad that they can actually climb up walls once out of a person's body. This would add to the fear effect I was talking about, because it would be eerie to see what looks like blood dripping against gravity. The blood would be so confused it would climb on itself, building towers of blood that appear as blood dripping upwards even in the middle of a room. This would be doubly frightening because it would happen before the controller even entered the room, heralding their coming. And yes, power could be used to heal the controller by making blood climb back into their wounds.

It may be TL; DR, but think of it like a wikipedia entry about this power. I hope it clears some things up, please feel free to ask any questions if no.

I'd have super strength, super speed, steel like skin, (not immortality because I don't want to live forever) the ability to fly, complete control over time, and the ability to warp reality in any way I see fit.

I would want to mutate into captain falcon.
I would yell out "YHEASZ" and light myself on fire without even feeling any pain, and I would be able to control the universe itself by sheer will from testosterone.

A second choice would simply be to bend reality itself to my liking. Basically exactly like my first choice, except I wouldn't be Captain Falcon.
But if I did have the ability to bend reality I could just make myself captain falcon anyways.
osnap.

[lots of good stuff that I'm snipping out just so my post isn't gigantic]
I see. I'm still not 100% clear on what you're saying, but I'm a little more comfortable with it now that I know this is something that would be applied to an alternate time/world. Blood running backwards in reality would mean death, but I accept that the elements of the world you have in your mind would cause different results.

I'd have super strength, super speed, steel like skin, (not immortality because I don't want to live forever) the ability to fly, complete control over time, and the ability to warp reality in any way I see fit.
Doesn't that basically encompass everything you said previously?

gah, people, be more creative.... "ultimate" powers are so lame
WORD.

Can you be one of the little boys?
I'm afraid I'm too old. Your powers would have no effect on me. There are plenty of other boys in the sea.

Painfully.

Teleportation, Psychokinesis, and Flying Powers.

If I had any sort of "offensive" ability, the public would want me to save them... >_>

Mind control, Reality manipulation or to be a living voudou doll.
Mind control is freaking awesome! you could do whatever you want,
Reality manipulation, the ability to control everything and anything and change it to what you like,
but for something a bit les hax, The ability to have the effect of a living voudou doll,
If anyone tries to harm me, their body revieves the same pain and effects from any attack.

The power to turn into my alter-ego:

Captain Norris the Burninator!!

Sadly, my ego would be too big and I'd explode. :(

Cool, I'm glad it comes across at least a little bit. This will all be in the comic book I'm creating; "The World". Look for it soon.

-Control of Time: Includes pausing, speeding up, slowing down, and being able to travel through it.
-The ability to read minds
-Super Speed
-Invincibility (lulz)

Any one of those is pretty **** awesome. Oh, they're also listed in priority. The Time Control is something I'd want the most out of the list.

I was thinking, time control would be so awesome.

Imagine meeting this girl that's too young/old for you, travel forward/backward in time and BAM perfect age and if you fail to make the right moves you just rewind and try again.

You'd be the ultimate player!

You know how Cyclops shoots laser beams from his eyes? Well, I'd want to shoot them from my nostrils. That would be crazy, and gross. Mostly, besides the fact that they were lasers, people would be also grossed out since it would be coming out my nose. Not that the composition of the lasers would be any different from Cyclops' beams... it's just where it's coming from that makes people say, "Eww!" And then they'd get obliterated.

I'd also want the beams to be purple, to match the scarf that my aunt knitted for me. It would be a tribute to her caretaking of me when I was little and my mother was never there.

I'd imagine that actually aiming the beams would be fairly hard, unless...

You placed reticles on either side of your nose, and used them.

Or put a fairly long pole down your face and off your pole, so that the aimer isn't just a crosseyed mess.

Also, there are soooo many more superpowers then mutations, cmon guys even it out.

I could just angle my face up so that my nostrils will shoot forward, silly. It looks funny too, awesome!

Hm... if I had to pick a mutation, I'd want to have a turtle shell! Except I could like, take it off and stuff and use it as a huge projectile. Then I'd grow another one back after I use it. And it would respawn as a different colored shell each time! There would also be a 0.3% chance I'd get a hermit crab shell, and a 0.02% chance that I could get a titanium shell. I'd never wanna take that off, son!

But then I'd still want to discover what other shells I'd be able to produce.

It'd be kinda painful to take them off, but it's all good... (I hope my body can take it.)

MY nostrils would still shoot at the ground unless I was looking up. Which is what I am saying, if you angle your face up you are shooting blindly!

I would want the ability to not take any sort of damage/injury/pain from falling.

Skydive without a chute? Hell yea. THWUMP.

How epic would that be, except I would actually rather have spike added on to mine instead. (such as Bowser's)

The ability to raise peoples' blood-alcohol levels.

"No officer, YOU blow into the machine".
That one is just too good.

A mutation you want, a mutation you'll get.

I'd probably, as a mutation, would want a long, snake-like tail.
Choke the **** outta people, and hang from trees upside down.

Not to mention the ability to reach for something high on those pesky aisles at markets.
So many practicle uses of a tail that functions like a snake.

That, or four arms (with hands, of course).

Dude having a tail would be awesome

The only thing that would be more awesome would be to have 4 arms
Imagine all extra things you could do with 4 arms.

Just to give an example. Imagine an anaconda, but there is no head, just two ends, one is connected to your body, and you have control of its movement.

The cons to having a tail so awesome would be cleaning it.
As for storage, probably just poke a hole in the pants you wear, and wrap it around your waist.

---

Four Arms is just too good.
As I've said.

I'll say it again.

Four Arms is just TOO TOO good.
