practice moving asap after a move like dash after a fair asap, dtilt to grab etc.

in friendlies, dont play to win, try new things out like adding waveland to your gameplay

have a good **** mindset (if you say i cant do it then you'll never get better)

These are a lil harder to deal with (which i'm currently dealing with it right now)

focus on blocking out one habit at a time (example is if ya always rolling toward you, he's punishing you for it then change it up)

Mix up how you attack (the first time you nair, then just dtilt or grab)

alright cool thx i'll keep that in mind actually i made a comeback on a dudes sheik last week at a tourney having a good mind set really helps
practice diff approaches to the CPU

DD - grab
DD - wd - dtilt
DD - shhfl nair
wd - fsmash
o ok i see so u can switch it up when playing a real person so he/she wont be able to predict on what ur going to do. keep em guessing ok i'l practice those

uhhh....what?

Don't eat at all during a tournament.

Men who are hungry have more brain activity.
Really? i didnt know that guess i'll just have a big breakfast then

eat a proper breakfeast - ideal is wholemeal bread or wheatabix or shredded wheat
i didnt know having the right cereal helps with playing or maybe its for the brain hmm

uhhh....what?
this has ALWAYS made a huge difference for me at dance game tournaments, on exams, etc. You get all relaxed if you've had sex/jacked off recently, although 3 days seems like a bit of a stretch

I eat a big bowl of either oatmeal or frosted wheaties, helps if the tourney venue doesn't have good noms

For practice/warm-up, I just do lots of little things over and over.
Dash dance with wavedash shimmying, dash after an l-canceled fair, buncha shffl nairs, etc.
Be sure to practice moves with a punching bag. Hitlag makes the timing different. Really noticeable when trying to l-cancel shhfl dairs depending on whether u tippered something or whiffed

If I have extra time, I'll set a punching bag to 9 handicap, myself to 1, and damage ratio to .5 and just practice double fairs

Also, I'm not sure what it's in english, but directly translated we call it Grape Sugar, it's the sugar that you find in different fruits, wich doesnt have to be changed in your body, but can be directly absorbed (normal sugar gets changed into this first and then absorbed, if you eat it).

It increases brain productivity, your ability to concentrate, and so on.

Also, energy drink. Lots of energy drink always does the trick for me.

The most productive way to train is to simply play better people. Since thats not an option just work on your tech skill and do your training at this tourney for future tournies.

Find out what state of mind produces the best results during your matches.

Example: some people play happier when hyper, some people play better when relaxed, etc.

Psychologically, when a task is difficult (for the majority of people the majority of the time) people tend to perform better when they are relaxed and calm. The opposite is true for easy tasks, like running. This is not 100%, but true in most cases. Just a starting point if you have no idea what you work best with.

I think calmness is best for solving the problems and making battle strategies, but i can't press lots of buttons while remaining perfectly calm. Not to mention your reaction time lowers with calmness.

I prefer a state of controlled tension and alertness
