I was initially extremely let down by the game and didn't even finish it until they ported it to Wii.

My main problems stemmed from the fact that it is barely recognizable as a Resident Evil game, which used to be one of my favorite franchises around. It was almost never scary in the least. It was ridiculously easy and Leon is more like some kind of Rambo baddass.

It's a fun game though, I gotta admit. Especially the wii version, with the IR aiming. But it's just...not Resident Evil. I'm kinda mad at it just because it changed the series to something completely different.
I'll agree it wasn't what I expected when I first bought it, but I really warmed up to the game fast. I have all three versions and have beat each a few times. GCN at around 17+. I was doing speed runs.

What's your thoughts on RE5?

Super Paper Mario.

Everyone kept going on about how awesome this game was. I played it for about 10 minutes and hated it. The game sucks. It feels nothing like a Paper Mario game.
It doesn't only because they took out the battle rounds from the previous 2, making the game go much quicker...I actually liked not having to waste 30 seconds just to stomp on a Goomba...

Hated it. Hate hate hated it. The co-op was a decent idea but it was done really horribly, and it made playing alone irritating as hell. The plot is by far the stupidest in the whole series (and that's saying something), and it was just way too weird and over the top.

Dead Space felt like a 3rd person doom 3 to me

RE5 was a disappointment, there was nothing scary about it, although online co-op is fun

I have to agree, I saw the trailers for the sequel at E3 and I was interested so I picked up the first one for one for dirt and....

... why was everyone claiming this game was ultra-scary? Sure, the game play is solid but it's not like it keeps me up at night or anything.
