I decided I want to be known in SoCal for being the guitar guy who plays songs from our favorite games at tournaments.

Tomorrow I plan on bringing my guitar and when I'm not playing friendlies, just chill and play some Legend of Zelda or Kirby's Dream Land, maybe even parts of the Mario song..although I only have some parts down.. practicing the rest tonight... I'm not the best of guitarists, but I decided this would be a fun thing to do.


As much as I despise most tabs, and I normally change them - if anyone has an intermediate tab for a game. Link me. ^_^

I can only think of so much music, and it must be for a character featured in Brawl. (EG: No FF music, even if I can play some songs. :x)

I was thinking some Metroid.. but eh, can't find good tabs. I also want it to be a song that 80% of the people will recognize.

I'm doing this purely because I want to and think it will be fun.
It also lets me have an excuse to bring my guitar with me. lol

You should play FF music

If I remember correctly, Chorno Trigger had a few nice pieces from it's OST. And I remember Steet Fighter had a few cool tunes in it. But if I were you I'd just play all of the games being represented (or try to anyway) and pick out some songs from there.

Also, SoCal is what me and my friends call Soul Calibur when we're to lazy to say the whole name.

EDIT: A majority of the F-Zero game's have guitar music in them already. You should check out those.

I will try to find a Mute City tab there is one but its not to good... , lol. I'd do these songs by ear but ear + overnight = very ****ty.

SF isn't featured in Brawl, I don't think Chrono Trigger is either. :p

Yes, actually. I did. I play Piano, Guitar, and Clarinet. I suck at pretty much every wind instrument except Clarinet, and I'm too stupid to play Drums. I can only play Drums with a very very simple beat.. I can't even do Rock Band drums very well. :/ The whole foot/hand coordination ****s me up.

Also before I get asked - yes I love making lots of useless blogs.

I'll look into the Mother 3 Love theme, Clock Town bores me. Bowser is a maybe.

Also very good song, not sure if I could learn that in less then 6 hours.

I will keep this in mind to learn to play at later tournaments and such. I doubt I can find tabs, so I'll actually do the easier of these songs by ear. (Synths (best way I can describe it) really, really piss me off :/ it's hard to hear the exact note for me... so it takes some guessing)

I cannot begin to describe how much trouble I have playing sheet on the guitar. I can sight read, but man I just suck at playing the guitar with sight reading.

Piano? No problem. :p

Maybe one day I'll get some of my guitar/piano playing up.

Even though I've only played 6, 7 and 10.5, I can tell that if the musics in the rest of them are even nearly as good (Most likely they are even better), they will be fantastic.
I'll also add that "Beloved Tomboyish Daughter" and "Legendary Fish" are quite cool songs too (well, IMO atleast).

(Ps. I know you asked for Brawl related musics, but Touhou has too awesome music not to talk about it once someone mentions it.)

Ah! I have a Mute City tab printed out, but I can't find where I originally got it from. I would totally give it to you if I could find it.

Well how about the Final Destination or StarWolf theme bg music?

Ive transcribed those 2 songs so far by ear. But I did modify Koji Kondo's Starwolf theme tab at ultimateguitar.com, with added powerchords and my own skilled few shreds from my minor and major scales knowledge to add my own creativity into it.

You know tabs arent always your best friends

Final Destination is also nice just need the ear to be able to make notes that flow with the song
