What characters will you be supporting once the next Smash rolls around?

This is a topic for characters you will be supporting when the speculation scene becomes "official" again because seriously, who knows when the next Smash will be announced. This topic can also serve as a sort of dictionary for new characters fans can mention here rather than exclusively old faces.

For me, I will undoubtedly be focused on underdogs Cranky Kong, Kamek, Birdo, Goemon and Scorpion. I may also be supporting Nabbit for various reasons.

1ST PARTY:

1. Teddy (EarthBound) - Out of all the Mother 1 characters, Teddy is the most interesting one from a potential moveset perspective for me. A tough, physical, exclusively melee focused with American greaser/Japanese delinquent
2. Pico (F-Zero)
3. Sukapon (Joy Mech Fight)
4. Mark/Mint (Pokémon Trading Card Game GB)
5. Achi (Sin and Punishment)
6. Andy (Advance Wars)
7. Vaati (Legend of Zelda) - Only potential hurdle to their inclusion (to my knowledge) is that the form of Vaati that most are familiar with and keep requesting for has some sort of shared copyright with Capcom, but Capcom's been willing to play ball with Smash for a while so that shouldn't be an issue.
8. Fawful (Mario & Luigi)
9. Ms. PictoChat (PictoChat) - A sort of pseudo-sequel to Mr. Game & Watch, shapeshifting into different things depending on the attack.
10. Savvy Stylist (Style Savvy) - Already spoke my piece on Savvy Stylist, but this is so much more than a meme pick or a joke character.
11. Nomad (Dillon's Rolling Western) - Design looks cool, has plenty of moveset potential despite how little source material he has to work with,
12. Tethu (Ever Oasis)
13. Raven Beak (Metroid)

3RD PARTY:

1. Opa-Opa (Fantasy Zone) - Shoot-em-up characters would be fun to see, and Opa-Opa neatly sidesteps the issue of a schmup character that has to walk around. Making him an aerial-focused zoner with the ability to buy powerups, but light and vulnerable to attacks from above would
2. Dr. Eggman (Sonic the Hedgehog)
3. Axel Stone (Streets of Rage)
4. Doomslayer (DOOM)
5. Crono (Chrono Trigger) - A character moreso here for legacy than anything, but incorporating Double/Triple Tech's into the moveset sounds fun, and Chrono Trigger music is always a blast. Would love a stage based on the Millennium Fair or End of Time.
6. Raiden (Metal Gear)
7. Demi-Fiend (Shin Megami Tensei) - I need to hear the Palutena's Guidance for him.
8. Professor Layton (Professor Layton) - My number one most wanted character for over a decade. These lists aren't ordered, but if they were, Layton would be No. 1, 100%.
9. Wilfre (Drawn to Life)
10. Gargan (HarmoKnight) - "Alien cyborg galactic conqueror who's also a rock star" is an absolutely killer premise for a character, and combining the hard-hitting impact of a standard heavyweight villain with rhythm mechanics could make for a fantastic, unique playstyle. Would also be nice to shine a torch on Game Freak's other franchises for a change.
11. Agnes (Bravely Default)
12. Shovel Knight (Shovel Knight)

Willing to elaborate on any of these. Also honourable mentions to Mametchi from Tamagotchi and Frosty from Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games.

Certainly not buying the next game unless it really impresses me gameplay-wise, and no character or even entire roster could change that.
