Rick, you spotdodge and roll WAY TOO MUCH. Like seriously I would just wait for you to spotdodge and punish with Dedede grab and smash, MK nado, or marth semi charged Fsmash to punish the roll. I screwed it up heaps due to wifi though. But it was a terrible habit. Even when I was in the air with MK, once I saw you spotdodge then BAM NADO. I'll be punishing that with worse stuff offline just its too hard to time online. Verse vlade alot aswell as he ***** that sort of stuff. I'm getting better at it too.

You recovered really well, obv MK is going to gimp luigi sometimes but I was impressed with that. Also impressed with your luigi in general. Zone with Bair moar. Don't use dash attack much cause you can shield out of it. Nice use of fireballs to limit space but don't get predictable. Offline ill just nado through that **** if I see you do the first one cause you always did the second one. Or just run up and shield grab. So beware of that. Nice use of jabs. Btw don't do predetirmed attacks. Always react to your opponent, for instance don't go up close and before you get there say I'm gonna spotdodge->jab if I'm holding shield. Basically don't commit to attacks. React to what I'm doing with the best option at the time. Nice use of airdodges btw. Also nice use of falling Nairs. Try and land behind the opponent (I know luigi has terrible air speed but its still possible) so they can't punish as easily. Fsmash is pretty unpunishable so abuse that more I guess.

But yeah you should never be spotdodging. Theres always a better option. You can use it to avoid predicted grabs, but at the end of the spotdodge you're both at a neutral situation. Just nado (with luigi)/jab/aerial if you predict a grab or roll away. You can use it to avoid a predicted attack if you spotdodge at the right moment to avoid the hitbox, but obviously if you predict an attack you can powershield it.

I guess try and practice luigi more in friendlies and tourney.

yeah. i know my luigi isnt perfect at the moment. all i've had for practice is horribly wifi and cpus. so you would know that most of what i've been doing is kind of successful against the cpus.

so i suppose i'll try and work on the above mentioned things. but i really need people to verse in order to make it sink in better. i cant develop much as far as mind games go, because the cpus always do the same crap.

but yeah, thanks for the feedback at least. all i can do is go up.

also: if i ever do dash attack it's because i ****ed up the input of something else. i never do it intentionally

No it's not decent. Decent at a newbie level yes Techno but not decent as the average players that play Luigi. But you will get there.

Also Jupz being harsh is the best way. You need to include more swear words though like you ****ing roll and spot dodge somthing like that lol.

Luke if you come to perth you can see my toon link and how i play tvc and my skills in new super mario bros wii ok. Also if you want i will house you and i will torture you by making you play phantom hourglass and spirit tracks all day. We will play brawl yes but first you need to play my favourite games so we are pumped for brawl. You can also teach me how to do a sliding up smash with snake because i haven't bothered learning that.

Oh yeah i will also take that luigi costume of you and burn it and will dress you up in some toon link costumes then i will take a picture for you and you can set it as your avatar on smashboards.

JUPZ:

Change your avatar to toon link. Make sure it has alot of green in it. Change your icon to toon link. Then you will trully look like a toon.

also snakes sliding upsmash is so easy most people get it on their first try.

just run, hit down on the cstick and then straight away hit up on the control stick and Z (up and Z are hit at the same time) the timing for it with snake is quite easy.

nah I've been playing snake since I got the game (like a week after in came out in japan) back when they thought he was low tier, I didnt give a ****. but I also liked luigi alot and had played him in melee, and I went through a luigi phase, but he's never been my main.

Anyway Luke if you had brawl so dam early shouldn't you be like Ally now. If i had brawl that early i can say i would be at a more better level then i am now. I got brawl when it was released here. I never knew competitive battling existed and never knew there was somthing such as smashboards. Then out of now where i watched some video's of people playing brawl and was all amazed and how **** they are. All the toon link stuff i was like holy **** how do they short hop double arrow. So i played online heaps and learnt match ups through wifi and how to play toon link. Yes i learnt all my crap through wifi. Then Vlade told me about tournaments and i never knew there was a perth smash thread until he showed me once again.

Now i am playing TvC don't know if i am on the verge of quiting brawl don't want to do that since i am good at the game. Good as in my toon link plays exactly like samuel's. lol.

I hope to get good at TvC too i am eager to vs Bob so see what he has as we are both new at the game and only played it a few times at tourneys.

Lol alzi. All dacus are unsafe really (talking from a MK and DDD main's point of view, I can punish all Dacus). Contact dacus is relatively safe and harder to punish.
