For tournaments, do you prefer individual matches being uploaded or sets? I see the pros and cons of both, but wondering what the populace prefers.

On my 5th 4 Loko and still ****** you.
I like the way Phanna does it, where a set is uploaded in one video (assuming it will fit in length), and then in the side bar he displays at what Minute and second each match appears (IE: Round 1 is at 0:00, Round 2 is at 3:45, Round 3 is at 6:23, etc etc). Lots of videos == more time spent editing and ****, clogs up my subscriptions and frankly I'm not interested in watching like 80% of tournament vids/friendlies anyway so the less total vids the better for me personally.

Just me .2 cents.

They forgot... scientology?

i deffinately prefer one match upload at a time.. i dontknow who.. seeing a long *** video of the whole set is just intimidating and i feel too lazy to watch the whole thing.. but if its in seperate parts i might even watch the set twice...

I used to like sets, but it's a lot more exciting to watch each game as a separate event. Also you can tell by video length immediately how many games there are (in most cases), and adding fake match links can keep you in suspense the whole set.

i prefer sets

you can put timestamps in the description for when each match starts like magus/phanna do

but that might be more work so its up to you

It sounds like less work to me *shrugs*

I dunno, personally I don't mind either. Sets with timestamps in the description definitely sounds nice though.

How do I get permission to exceed the 10 (aka 11) minute video length limit? I never set my youtube type to director nor uploaded a video of more than 10 minutes in length before sometime in 2007.

You can't. In 2006, youtube had a program where you had to send them a letter in the email explaining why you should become a Director and why you need unlimited length videos. Just setting your youtube type to Director back then wouldn't have given you the privileges either, that was Just for show. Myself and a couple other smashers have it still I think. Then a year later Google bought youtube, and they ended that program so there isn't a way to get it anymore.

Your only hope left is to become famous on youtube and get a youtube partnership lol, but then I don't think your subscribers would want a hoard of smash gameplay videos.

no spoilers, less less windows to open for buffering, more enjoyment

sets

less videos, less buffering.

and to people who say sets give away who wins, matches give it away more. you know right away how many games the set is, if you upload whole sets, a 9 minute video could be 2 matches or 3. it doesnt give **** anyway.

Ok, 9 minute video, space animal dittos. First match takes three minutes. I wonder who will win the next match? It does spoil the ending unless you're stupid, and as you watch a match go further on, you have a greater chance of knowing who's winning. Whereas if someone uses a fake link, there are no spoilers and you have no idea who's going to win until the last seconds for close matches.

definitely sets

if you're worried about spoilers in the sets, full screen it? or don't look at the timestamps in the description? idk

personally, spoilers are a much bigger problem in single matches than sets for me

Personally I'd rather worry about accessability than spoilers. I'd rather not navigate through 20 vids to find the missing match. That seems to happen a lot.

i like individual matches. Even though you're likely to watch it in sets, its just easier to refer back to a specific match.
