He refused to use Ice Climbers against me. I had to play Melee1 in the winners bracket, where he used IC twice in a row, but I won both games.

Why did you CP brinstar?

Because Melee1 has a weakness to Brinstar. He can't play Ice Climbers there, and I knew he wouldn't go Snake, since DK loves that stage. I also knew I wouldn't have cared if he picked Marth because spacing for Marth is more difficult than G&W on that stage.

@Phloat: Lol thanks. Golf player... haha... That's the new play style I've adaptive with G&W. It seems to be way more effective than just being aggressive. G&W has an awesome wall that he can perform with a shorthop nair into a double jump into another nair and finishing with a bair. It's somewhat hard to perform but very effective. It's the strategy I used to beat his Ice Climbers: constantly staying in the air to avoid being grabbed while using my multi-hit aerials to prevent him from approaching like normal.

i thought by how you died at the beginning that itd be tough catching up but you turned it around lol
i admire your spacing it was well done, you escaped most of marth's attacks
i even saw a time where you simply walked a little bit to the left to avoid his forward smash lol

At this point I've only watched the third one. Good gdubs, you played well. But I must say, that marth does NOT know how to fight gdubs. Bad spacing, lots of spot dodging (marth should almost never spot dodge against game and watch), no up b oos(WTF?!), running into turtles, lots of bad fsmash choices...

I really want to play against a good, campy marth. I have some videos of our best marth in dallas. I'll have to upload them.

Also, he doesn't main Marth. It's pretty obvious. I practically 3 stocked him if you ignore the silly gimp at the beginning. After game1 it was really easy to read his marth.

I love the marth matchup as G&W.
