We're running it for Anime Salt Lake. That's why the Badge of the Gods is such a good deal if you want to go to both conventions.
Here's the link for you: http://www.animesaltlake.com/fight-club.html
OOoooooo, sounds delicious. Now, time to find dat price tag <.<

Another $20 + $10 for the tournament, eh? Might be worth it to go anyways.

Will the Brawl tourney be streamed as well by chance? (I guess same question goes for the Salt Fest in May). Not gonna lie, I'd love to get some people watching that stream.

Unless my friend that has the hdmi to wii converter decides to come, then no. If he does come, yes, it will be streamed. This applies to both ASL and Salt Fest.

Lots happening in May for me, so we'll see how Salt Fest fits in. Shouldn't be a problem.

And holy crap unfriendliness towards phones Batma- I mean Smashboards!

So found some new smashers that live in apartment places that let you reserve the lobby. We might be able to get a provo monthly going!

ASLC when I try to pre reg online where do I get the supporter discount for bringing a setup? Is it refunded at the door or something or do I need a coupon code?

http://www.saltfest.org/supporter.html Go there, fill out the form and I'll send you an email with all the supporter stuff as well as a link with the discounted badge price.

That goes for anyone else who wants to bring set ups.
*Edit* You will still have to buy a tournament entry $10. So if you want to play Brawl and you're a supporter 20+10 = 30.

Hey all, just a reminder, the Sandy Nickelcade lock in is TOMORROW NIGHT. $10 for entry, in which you can come in at 11 PM, but the lock-in and freeplay of arcade games won't officially start until closing (1 AM). Link for more details:

If you want, bring a TV and your own set-up for smash. There's a few TVs that can be used. I will personally bring a power-strip or two to make things a little easier in terms of plug-ins, but that's about all I can provide personally.

You're the one that always has a DotA thing every time we have a Smashfest...
if by "always" you mean "one time" then sure, sorry I had to play a best of 3 against the best team in north america

I'm here constantly asking for games and the only responses I get are either brawl players trolling, people I've never met being generally bad mannered to me, or just being ignored entirely

it's really frustrating trying to assimilate into my new melee community when I can't even meet them
I may come off as a prick or annoying online, I don't know why else I would feel so ignored, but I'm pretty ****ing legit IRL and anybody I've met will attest to that

I'm repeatedly walking 2 miles to watch brawl players play brawl on the off chance they play melee or marvel and can't get any melee players besides kirby to even get ahold of me on my phone

similar **** happened when I moved to the StL area for college
brawl players instantly hated me because I'm an outspoken vegan and brawl hater (I haven't even flamed brawl here, once), melee players just took their word for it I was a douche and I never even got a chance
can this not be StL v2

edit-this guy is posting fighting community monthlies and melee isn't even on there. PC was talking about people being really unsupportive and never showing up to events, holy **** it must be way worse than I thought

am I wasting my time trying to play melee or is it just a bunch of coincidences that's causing unecessary friction in our e-relationship

@ASLC: Can I pick up my Anime Salt Lake badge that I got through the Badge of the Gods there, or do I still have to get that at ASL, itself?

@MeatIsMURDER: I remember you missing at least two Smashfests, already. And every time you ask if someone wants to play, it was the day of, so it didn't give people much time to prepare ahead of time, so I can see why no one wants to. If Buzz is having a Smashfest this Saturday like he's been saying, then you should come. I'll likely show up if he hosts one.

Melee is pretty much dead out here when it comes to tournaments. There are still people who play it at smashfests and stuff, but tournaments for it dont really happen anymore since not many people play it.

I'm pretty sure you've missed like 3 events due to your own stuff. That doesn't mean we cannot just pick up from here and start playing Melee. Just acknowledge that you HAVE missed a number of planned events. Stop yelling at the community for never playing when it actually DOES play.

Melee? Weekend?

it's more likely that I'm just not reading people's posts then and not even aware of it because I thought i only missed one
maybe I'm just a huge dumbass and don't remember skipping ****

this is going to sound hilariously ironic but this weekend is bad for me because I'm being kicked out on sunday and I still don't have a new apartment and my brother keeps insisting on doing lsd which would take an entire day

I'll find a way to make it saturday
if people play tomorrow I'll skip the UM concert, even though that's one of my favorite bands

Roflroflrofl Devon.

Meat, there pretty much isn't a Melee scene here. Sorry you were led to believe otherwise.

In other news, I wanna play Brawl soon.
