I think in some smash scenes, the metaknight ban would be really helpful, but I don't think it would really do much for ours. We have what, 1 active Metaknight main? And 2 or 3 people who secondary him? How much difference does that make? I think most of us have some way of dealing with playing against metaknight (even if it's going metaknight yourself), and like XDDD said, most people have a legitimate reason for using Metaknight in the first place (Matchup, Stage, etc.)

So in the end, I do not agree with the ban. There are a lot of things I would like to see changed more that, many of which would probably help the problem. :/

I remember when yaz and i lived at RJ's house, yaz would teach me how to play against MK, you need to get out of the autopilot mode that I know most of the players for * hopefully it's changed now* once you get out of that mode. You'll actually learn the matchup instead of learning to tolerate the loss you get.

So guys, here's what Im going to do. As I have switched back to The U.T.A.H. venue, I am going to only use the Unity Ruleset in tournaments there, so that means, as long as Meta Knight is still allowed in the SWF Official Ruleset, he will still be allowed in tournaments at this venue. However, I will also be picking up a second venue sometime probabky around August/September, possibly even sooner, and I will be testing a Meta Knight banned ruleset at tournaments there. Depending on results as to how it ran at that venue, I will decide whether or not to continue using the same ruleset. Remember though, if the Unity Ruleset decides to include the MK ban rule, I will be applying it to every tournament regardless.

Now, with that out of the way, I have another important thing to bring up with you guys. At The U.T.A.H. venues, I am going to be enforcing a $5 venue fee. Due to this, I am VERY willing to reason with you guys on how much tournament entry will cost, so please give me your opinions on what prices will be. The events will be: Brawl Doubles, Brawl Singles, Melee Singles, Mario Kart Wii Singles, and 1 Possible Side Event at each tournament held there. Now, as for why Im adding a bigger venue fee, this is my plan. Im going to use the extra money from the venue fee towards getting better TVs for our tournaments as most of the time we end up needing to use a lot of small, older, and worn out TVs for the tournaments. I plan on getting each TV around 16" and high quality and will get probably around 3 or 4 over time. These TVs will be used for all of our tournaments and each of you active smashers will be able to use them for free at will. I'll make a thread on UGF about them once I get 1 or 2 and set up a calander that lets us keep track of when they will be in use or be needed so that we dont have any overlap problems. This way, we will be able to have more set ups to allow tournaments to run more smoothly and give smashers access to extra TVs whenever they need them.

The next tournament, The U.T.A.H. 4 will be after Genesis for sure, and I dont currently have a date set (however, im thinking about July 30th) and plan on having The U.T.A.H. 5 a couple weeks later (probably August 13th or 27th as the Vegas tournament in the weekend of the 20th). As for the new venue I mentioned, I have no idea when it will be ready, but it will most likely be sometime soon after The U.T.A.H. 5.

Let me tell you something, if SWF BBR decides to ban MK, I'm not going to follow that at all.

The BBR is a joke nowadays, they don't get anything done, and the only thing they have done is do a new tier list every so often, and add a new crappy point system.

If you implement this Ban in Utah, your only hurting us, not helping us.

I did MKW cuz it takes less time and more people would enter MKWii who were there than Melee. Besides, once we start getting more set ups (hint hint, the venue fee increase) we can get through tournaments faster and do more events.
