Financial situation: the club no longer owes Juan anything which is good. But I should be reimbursed for pizza & drinks for Endless Challenge, and for snacks at the 2 previous meetings. All of that comes to about $130. There is currently $107 in our account (after the $10 rereg fee and $5 weekend room use fee for last meeting, that is). So, we need a profit of about $20 + however much we spend on snacks/pizza/drinks for last meeting.

I'm inclined to do a Brawl singles+Melee singles event similar to Endless Challenge (same venue fee and schedule). Some Brawl players do sound interested. Not totally sure about the when and where though.

I think what Andrew is saying is you will need a new communications officer if it becomes Melee Club...

Thanks for the interest. Actually they changed the rule--you do NOT have to attend a treasurer's workshop. All you would do as an authorized banking rep. is use the club account in the student organization bank in the 4th floor of the SSB. This includes writing deposits for membership dues/ticket sales, writing checks for weekend room use fee/fee for rolled tickets/reimbursements for officers that bought snacks (or drinks/pizza/prizes), and picking up rolled tickets the day before the meeting if you are holding an event for which you will collect money.

You don't know **** about either Harold and Kumar film. If you're going to assess the film, at least be qualified to do so.

Also, what is the financial situation for the club? As far as I know we made a good ~$80 from EC1. I recall a projected deficit of like $90 stated way earlier, so that almost cancels out right? So there doesn't seem to be THAT much of a necessity for profit in our next meeting, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, most of our profit went into pizza. Not necessarily a big deal, since we can all agree (except for you and José) that profit isn't as important as having a good time. Our only real concern is being out of debt, which would be as easy as going down to 6th street and beating up a drunk and taking his money.

As for EC2, it's apparent that turnout from OOC is looking very bleak. There isn't enough time to advertise it properly AND it's coming around finals time where people can't afford to travel when they need to be spending that time studying. So I'm pretty against the notion for having EC2. I can only foresee a failure. If we only need to make a small amount of profit, then we can just have a small melee tournament with some percentage house cut; better yet, just cut how much deficit we're in LOL. (No but seirously, EC2 isn't a good idea and there are other ways to get profit.)

This isn't really necessary. I think we can just have a regular smash club meeting and tell Juan not to spend money on snacks. This will make the last meeting casual and enjoyable for those of us who have to actually run the events (read: me).

Normally, I'd ***** about how Edgar doesn't really do anything, but I think, outside of Clay doing actual stuff, Juan buying **** and bringing TVs, and me running events, no one does anything. But I don't have time next semester to be a "real" officer anyway, since I'm taking two graduate classes and a 6 hour Spanish class.

So far I have exchanged all the melee neutral color textures with brawl textures, and then some extras. Also have changed some stages and music (because that Mango/Lucky pride set was too awesome and I want to recreate it).

Does anyone have characters that have colors they just ABSOLUTELY need? It seems I can't control what colors to overwrite. Also, if anyone has seem some textures/music/stages that they seen and they want, let me know and I'll try to put it in. I'm only leeching off hacks that other people are doing and compiling them into my .iso, so I can't really create anything you haven't seen yet.

^ Like that exact one? I should be able to, just need to locate the files. If you want me to just change the color of his clothes->can't at the moment (I would have to tweak the texture myself, and I'm not that advanced yet) If you can prove to me the texture exists already, then yeah, I should be able to put it in no problems.

The .iso I have now has about 60% of the textures featured on that video, not including the ones that you wouldn't see in a versus melee (Master hand/sandbag/wireframes, etc). It would be quite easy to put those master hand etc. textures in, but I doubt anyone would ever see them, so I won't bother. I'm still scouring for more textures that I like.

Also, I want to stress that I'm not creating the textures themselves (I'm not nearly good enough to do that), just rather putting textures other people have made into one .iso, which is quite simplistic in itself. It's quite easy to do it yourself (provided you have a wii that has homebrew and an unaltered melee .iso file) and I can give you everything you would need to get the iso up to where my is at the moment (It would literally take you ~<10 minutes to set up everything) if you want.

I could host my .iso, but I think SleepyK's .iso would be a better thing to download (in fact I want to download it myself haha, I just don't have the bandwidth for it right now). If you want mine just tell me, otherwise you should ask SleepyK (e-mail him. Can't find it at the moment, but I could get you it if you want)

I'm also lacking the character screen portraits that you saw in that video, because I don't know where everyone's keeping those files haha. I could make them myself (I understand this stuff that far) but it's quite a tedious process and I don't think it would be worth my time at the moment.
