I can guarantee that no matter who gets in first, the other will get in Smash too sooner or later.

Both are acceptable picks for Smash, the inclussion of one benefits the other too and many will be happy with any of the two getting added.

I dislike the Minecraft and Banjo hate a lot.

As someone who wants both him and Banjo in Smash, I am confident about the idea of getting the two in Smash is likely when at least one of them comes first.

Banjo supporters shouldn’t hate the Steve supporters, since in reality Steve getting in Smash would be great news for Banjo.

Sakurai is going to put your most wanted in the game, but insists they must have a counter. What does it look like and - if a more unique counter - how does it work?

My most-wanted is literally a clone of Peach, so she would already have a counter. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I guess the visuals would be different, though.

A old video with outdated info, talks about youtubers that "don't make minecraft anymore" like antvenom, meanwhile if you go to his youtube account, he is uploading nothing but Minecraft.
Not only is not dying right now, but a lot of players are coming back because of the new update, of course Minecraft can't be the big *** game it was before, but is already part of the pop culture, something everyone knows, you see a cube game and the first thing you think is "a Minecraft game", it simply can't die, is just that is not as popular as 2014.

Confession bear: I actually don't mind counter moves. I'm starting to get pretty good at them, and Ike's counter is starting to save my *** in a lot of Spirit battles.

So I wouldn't feel too bad if one of my favorites needed a counter.

Dovahkiin - Shield Bash (down special)
Pretty well works as a standard counter, but deals less damage and increased knockback from other counters. He gets into a ready pose holding his shield up and will parry the attack with a bash. Only hits from the front like K.Rool's

The only reason I like to mock Banjo, is because you guys mock Steve to no end.
I have it bad enough, that most of my mains are controversial inclussions.

I'd take Steve over Banjo any day of the week.

I guess I just don't understand the appeal of the latter. I've played the games. Yeah, they were fun, but I don't see any reason to include him other than nostalgia from a small group of people. We're comparing David to Goliath here, and if I were Sakurai, I'd choose representing the franchise that's (unfortunately) become a worldwide phenomenon for almost a decade.
