What Hinata said.

The show was fantastic up until the very last set of episodes and the finale. The writers messed up several ideas they were trying to push, and most of everything else that could've been resolved (other side conflicts, and numerous characters arcs) wasn't, simply because they rushed everything, on top of that.
Well, look at it this way.

Now that you're so disappointed with the finale, you have more reason to change your avatar to Negaduck. :p

I wonder though, is star really over?

If phineas and ferb is coming back for a movie, we could get one that focuses on the aftermath of the star finale, and give it a good closure.
I would at least appreciate that if they delved into what the merging of dimensions means for everyone, now.

Because as it stands they left the series TOO open-ended with that event. There's no telling what kind of chaos and consequences that will bring. It was very unsatisfactory.

Hell, even Star and Marco reuniting felt kinda half-assed instead of heartwarming, honestly.

I cut my own hair just now and it didn’t turn out terrible

I also shaved my legs for the first time (well, I had to do it in stages... you never know how much surface area makes up your thighs until you shave your legs)

Is this a metaphor the people complaining how little smash news we get each direct?
in which sakurai makes so much money that he splits from nintendo themselves and starts making deals with all three of nintendo, microsoft and sony for the Ultimate Roster

This would've solved many of the finale's problems... but not quite all of them. More time alone would definitely not be enough to resolve the biggest plot point of all in the finale.
Let's be real here - the finale needed an hour at least.

That said, the ending at least gave something of a satisfying payoff. It had a lot of hype built up to it, but... at the end of the day. Daron Nefcy did the best she could. Yeah, it wasn't as grand as we could've hoped for, but it was what it was.

The Star Vs finale was...alright.

I didn't hate it, and the last bit was actually kinda beautiful (ignoring the fact that good ol' fashioned human prejudice is about to hit these magical races HARD) it served it's purpose, though it felt kinda rushed.

As a whole, I enjoyed the show. It definitely fumbled in many areas, I even stopped watching a few times, but I always came back. I just like these guys too much. I kinda wish the show was a little less focused on the shipping, but whatever.

It was a little weird, and a little wild. Not an all-time favorite, but a fun show nonetheless.

Sad to say that most local Star vs. Fans aren't pleased with the series finale. Myself included.

Also Game of Thrones anticipation.

I said I would, and now I will.

They want grim and gritty, huh? Happy to play the part... "Extremely sinister laugh"

How you guys feel about Star Butterfly and Gravity Falls ending on a good note is how I felt a few years back when Regular Show had done the same. As it shows. Quality over quantity until particular shows like Spongebob, Simpsons and Family Guy that'd rather continue to drag on then end at some point completely degrading.

So Star has a terrible finale. And GoT might end up like that that was well. I guess it's best to stay off of Social Media today to avoid a giant firestorm.

Yeah, the shipping got a little much (and this is coming from a diehard Starco fan) - but it was still a fun show. I shall miss it dearly.

Do me a favor and never put my child and satan in the same sentence like that ever again/s
Again quality over quantity. You'd rather see your favorite franchise be milked out? Sometimes less is more and that's how things should be. I'm actually grateful with how HTTYD ended especially on the perfect note it had.

I'm sorry but I'm required to post this now.

Speaking of that episode, it really brought me back to my childhood. Back when Disney afternoon showed old reruns of DuckTales, Darkwing Duck, Chip 'N' Dale Rescue Rangers, and Goof Troop along with (at the time) Gargoyles, Pepper Anne, and Doug.

Frankly, the only cartoon that has ever managed to entertain me and satisfy me with its character arcs all the way through is Gravity Falls. Every other cartoon’s finale was disappointing, the last disappointing finale I saw was Samurai Jack in 2017.

I would argue Regular Show had a good finale but that's just my opinion.

Well now that Star Vs is done, Gravity Falls has concluded, and Wander over Yonder was taken out back and shot, it’s like the end of era for Disney cartoons.

I hope the new era’s good. Amphibia and Owl House seem promising.

Star VS. was fun at first but TBH the shipping started overtaking too much of the story for my tastes and I lost interest. It started getting this tween Disney show vibe about it I was not into at all, lol.

In terms of cartoons and anime I've currently got Hilda and My Hero Academia.

Movie-wise it'd be the MonsterVerse.

And I'm talking about current otherwiseas a whole I'm currently watching Yu Yu Hakusho.

I generally tend to avoid complaining heavily about series finales because, yeah, creators have their own visions and do they best they can to bring them to life. I respect that, and I try to look on all the bright side of things rather than mope and dwell on all the things I disagree with. I even tend to look at things from multiple angles to get more enjoyment out of it or at least to give people more perspective, and allow them to see where the creator was coming from when they did what they did with the ending.

In this case, though...After what she did, I just really can't feel that much for Star as a character. And it pains me to say that since she is otherwise one of my favorite protagonists in general. Besides that, everything else was just unfortunately rushed, for one reason or another, and while I don't necessarily pin blame of that on the show's staff (I can't recall if Disney cancelled it or if it was Nefcy's call to end it on season 4) it's nonetheless hard to be satisfied with it.

I didn't much like the finale, but if nothing else, it was a fun ride the whole way. I don't regret getting so invested in the show, and I don't regret being on the ride from the beginning. It's been a blast, overall. You just take a chance when you get into a new show, and if it's ultimate conclusion doesn't satisfy, then, oh well. Doesn't mean you can't still enjoy everything else it's had and still does have to offer. Star vs. is ultimately still a good show overall, as far I'm concerned.

I fully agree it’s a really big change. I honestly thought star and Marco would at least hug at the end. It was a kind of funny and sweet moment but a little weird.

You guys seriously need to watch Hilda if you have NetFlix. Basically Adventure Time and Gravity Falls mixed into one. Lovable characters, great premise and setting and a nice breath of fresh air. What a cartoon should be for kids rather then the usual slapstick humor and toilet humor.
