War crimes was like a semi-joke, I just think that if he truly did know what the fire nation was doing then he should've just left. I mean, he clearly has enough power and influence to get outta there instead of helping the fire nation to prosper. Then again, I haven't watched TLA in a while so I don't know if they told us everything Iroh knew so I might be talking out of my ***.

Yeah, no details were really given about Iroh's state as a general.

Regardless, it's not like Azula had to pay for warcrimes like Ozai did anyway. She was sent to a mental institution after the war ended.(Because as you stated she's extremely mentally unstable.) And then was freed by Zuko from time to time until she'd start trouble again. She plotted to take the throne from him, but that didn't work out. She was then exiled, then her scheme was to make Zuko behave like of a dictator. Her final scheme involved kidnapping children.... So, yeah.

What my mind pictures whenever someone says they're "X feet tall":

The reason the rest of the cast arent all evil ****s is because none of them were raised solely by the king of evil ****s to become another evil ****

Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph, they all also went through heavy ****. You're not wrong about that. But they didn't go through heavy **** while being forced to fight for an evil **** and they also all had a support network of, well, each other.

You could argue Zuko didn't turn out to be a total evil **** but he was given the opportunity to leave and hang out with his chill uncle forever. He was beat and abused, yes, but he had the oppurtunity to find himself and realise what the **** was happening to him, and how his dad was an evil **** and not somebody deserving of "honor" or whatever. That lead to him joining the party eventually.

Azula was trapped since day one. Her natural talent was what lead to her being groomed by her awful evil **** of a dad which lead to her mental trauma which also lead to her sociopathic tendencies. Because she's literally a kid. Like a straight up child. Not like an adult with a bad upbringing, but a kid in the process of her bad upbringing.

And I would argue her mental trauma as shown by her breakdown at the end was sympathetic as hell. It reminds you that she's just a traumatised child soldier.

Her breakdown at the end is to show how ****ing childish she is though. Yeah, she is a child, a child who is a terrible human being and she handles being an asshole in the most childish way possible.
And the thing is, Azula WAS given the chance to change... she just didn't, because she never wanted to.

I don't know, I'd say it's pretty deep. Your character's struggle to get in Smash represents the struggle of mankind as a whole.
