I finally saw the trailer. Wasn't impressed. Found it fun and silly, just how I like it.

I don't like Sonic having teeth, as the rest of him is decent otherwise. Eggman being slim is a bit strange, admittedly. The lack of gloves definitely hurts Sonic's design, but he still feels overall like a more realistic Sonic to me.

I'll probably go see it in the theaters. Depends if the next trailer is fun like this one is. I do find the electricity thing being a bit weird, but it's more about traction creating electricity than applying his own in-series element, so it isn't that bothersome to me. Speed and lightning do go hand in hand at times. Beyond that, I was never bothered by the idea of him meeting up in another dimension of Earth, as I grew up with the idea that Mobius and Earth were separate things. It's not the official canon, but I have a hard time being bothered by it when it wasn't a consistent thing among the entire franchise. I'd rather it take liberties than just being 100% canon if it can make the story more interesting. Though I do worry about the story, cause it so far looks... kind of boring. That said, Jim Carrey looks great, though yeah, he feels more like himself than Eggman, no questioning that. I was already off put by all the realistic Pokemon designs in Detective Pikachu, as they creeped me out a bit, so I can't honestly say that Sonic design really bothers me severely. Honestly? It looks a bit more realistic and doesn't creep me out nearly as much. Though it doesn't mean I think Detective Pikachu would be worse. It still looks overall like a better movie from the trailers, at least. I'll have to see both and judge. I'm more likely going to like Detective Pikachu more, though. But I won't know till it happens.

Honestly Im not watching the video as I don't like smashtubers as a whole and frankly some of the rates seem all over the place.

I never understood the chance percentage, seems a bit arbitrary. When I participated in rate the character I just added a semi-random number.

Mh-hm. It even dates all the way back to his initial concept art, it's just that one of the women at the American branch thought it ruined his image. That and him dating a human woman, LOL. Oh you thought that part was new too?

But seriously I like the fangs, they should really stop getting rid of them. We have Inklings, it's not like a mildly edgy children's mascot with lil' fangs can't sell in 2019 c'mon SEGA just have some guts for once.

Everyone, I know that Sonic's design is bad. I may not like the movie, sure we do agree that Sonic's design is bad like this (they even have human teeth, oh my god), but that doesn't mean we should always talk this negatively or bash on the film/movie. I mean, well I understand what's going on with the latest Sonic games, lately (Expect for Sonic Mania), but still.

I get your concerns, and I do know what you guys mean, but trust me, the movie hasn't been out yet. We haven't even been presented with the complete film. There's an high chance it's bad, sure, but there's also low possibility it just might turn out ok.

The hatred is completely justified given the absolutely horrible design choices for the movie. Not even Yuji Naka liked the designs. You know you've messed up when that happens, or when fans are able to make better designs than a professional team is.

The production staff is getting what they deserve as far as I'm concerned.
