What characters in Smash do you all like because you have a personal attachment to that character?

Definitely Pit. :ultpit:
It all started with that Brawl trailer that revealed him. Those arrows, his bow becoming two blades, now that was really cool over 10 years ago, and still is. While I formally had Bowser as my number 1, Pit quickly took over, with his coolness and sheer versatility, and plenty of fun things to do with his moveset, and I had him for the 6 years I've played online.

Then Uprising came about that made me love him a lot more. Fun, cute, adorable, fights pretty well with so many different weapons, puts up with a lot of things the gods say but still does a lot of work while putting his life on the line often, let alone being in the front lines for pretty much the whole game. When s4 came about, I still loved him, but his hitboxes weren't really consistent and it kinda frustrated me. He just felt underwhelming with that and poor KO power. Granted, I mostly was a Palu in that game, but I loved Pit lots more. I definitely would take different snapshots of him and experiment with his expressions and animations and such.
It also turned out that I can relate to him a bit, with being different and weird sometimes, picked on a lot (in his case, by Palu and other gods), and have wishes, but also wants to do the right thing.

Ultimate buffed the precious angel with better hitboxes and more kill power, and that obviously made me happy. And when it came to taking snapshots of him, his already greatly-expressive self became even more expressive and precious, adding more personality to him, while improving his victory poses too. He's still versatile with a little extra power to him now. Fun to use, fun to take snapshots of him, all-around precious and more, I'm glad I have this bond with Pit for over 10 years, and I hope I can continue having this tight bond with him for an even longer time. :ultpit:

I also have a partial liking to Bowser since he was a childhood favorite of mine. There was some rocky bumps, partially due to certain cheesy strats of his and the "grab combo" patch in s4, but he's still great to me.

Oh yeah, and the reason why I'm good at Smash is because I'm planning to do a couple of competitive tournaments over the next few years. Nothing major of course, but just a way to pass the time.

:ultwolf: is one of the characters I'm considering using, but I'm not 100% yet.

I would love to join you guys, but alas, I got other stuff to do tonight. I'll be free tomorrow, though!

I just hope I won't be boring for y'all to fight. I'm about as scrubby as they come when it comes to Smash. :p

What are everyone's thoughts on the spirits and World of Light?

I hate the spirits, but I like WoL
I like the idea of spirits but it had a lot of balancing issues. Either fights were too easy or too ball twisting. Not many had the feel of being decently challenging, really.

Then again I jacked up Akuma to lv. 100 and he cleans up 65% of the board alone. His stats are insane. If you went in wanting a self-imposed challenge (I.e: no skill tree, no spirits at all) I am sure many are an interesting task.
