Your argument falls apart with your examples. Shadow and Dixie have actual histories and games they're in. They're not like Kasumi who's not even out yet in Japan.
OK, this is going to be my last post on this topic since debating results in me getting really heated when I write big posts, so I hope what I say here shows better my opinion on this

I was more talking about Richter's placement in Smash in that example, and how much he really did "deserve" it over characters like Shadow & Dixie, who also have histoy like you mentioned, much more history than Richter in fact, yet didn't get in as characters despite "deserving" much more than Richter due to being more relevant to the gaming world those days than Castlevania was when the roster was decided on back then. Though, to give credit where it's due, Richter helping Simon moveset & being quite popular in Japan helped his chance by quite a lot. So the "deserve" argument isn't the only one I would use alone to speak about an echo inclusion, especially with a character like Kasumi who, like you said, isn't even in a game yet, much like how Roy (Corrin isn't a good exemple actually, Roy is a better case) wasn't in a game by the time that he got into Smash and was just a clone of Marth with fire added on it, I think it's important to see her inclusion less under one light and more how easy she is to make as a echo of Joker and how much Atlus will push her in the future.

thinking of it, isn't kasumi's outfit just kinda a normal ballerina outfit?
obviously there's some differences but wasn't she doing ballet or something in the trailer
yeah, and she has a dancer sort of thing going on in her regular art

still looks kinda weird, but there's a theme going on

Saw someone on Twitter say Kasumi's Persona could be Calamity Jane.

Also, her Phantom Thief outfit is really making me think she's gonna be a Joker Echo at some point. Her coat is extremely similar to Joker's, she has the same kind of gloves, she could be similar height wise...

i'm quite partial to Nekoo Nekoo 's Josephine Balsamo theory (both arsene's rival and lover)

it makes sense for her as a female foil/rocky ally to joker, and explains why they look so similar in their thief costumes

>nintendo's e3 direct reveals royal coming to switch and then announces kasumi

****'s never gonna happen
but it would be sweet
Here's my schtick. Let's take a look at Dragon Quest XI. It's coming to the Switch, but it's been delayed so much to the point where while it was the first game EVER announced for the Switch when it was called the NX, the PS4 and PC got it first. How do we justify the $60 price tag and re-release the game?

Aside from a Kingdom Hearts-ass level name and as said on Ninty's site...

This definitive version of the critically acclaimed game features the same sprawling content of the original, but with newly added character-specific stories, fully orchestrated field and battle music, and the ability to switch between not only between HD and retro-inspired 16-bit visuals, but also Japanese and English voice track.
That **** actually is some justification, and all of this is exclusive to the Switch, this ain't coming to the PS4. So now let's take a look with the idea of Persona 5 coming to Switch; what will S even bring when P5R is essentially what the definitive edition of the game? Can they justify just it being a $60 port when it's now $20?

I'm left with a lot of questions and frankly, a bit iffed. Not too iffed to where I'm upset, but a bit iffed. Like salt on fries when you eat at your local Five Guys.

I think it will be pretty strange if Kasumi isn't in smash, considering she had a pretty much finished model and Joker clearly references P5R

That would be super interesting and clever. Guess we'll have to wait and see, but this P5R news coupled with Vaanrose's findings make me think she's probably coming to Smash at some point.

They'd probably do what they did to Corrin.

Where did anyone say it was pretty much finished?

I was under the impression it was nowhere near that.

Well, I'll hope that P5R gets a Switch port, because I got no PS4, and I sure as hell ain't buying one. :076: I loved Persona 5, but only because I could buy a super cheap PS3 and play it that way.

Also Kasumi's thief outfit is kind of weird. I get the idea, but it feels a tad excessive. Why'd Morgana get to be a human now? I was glad he didn't get that originally.

This has been "Rhad comments on ****." I doubt anyone cares.

Nothing about the model, but the fact that they already created a cache for her ponytail animation means she had to have been pretty far along in development. And remember, the Jane files were in there from day one, it's been several months since.

more that the .mchp hair animation is all fully calculated - her model is 'done' in terms of actually putting it together, but probably nowhere near polished enough graphically for release yet
