You're making a distinction for no reason. The reason people had to accept Corrin in the first place was because she was an advertisement for a game out only recently out in Japan. Which is my point. Let's not have character like those, or at least characters I have to pay for

Assuming Kasumi is not included in Joker's FP in the first place.

i think any kasumi argument has to consider just how much atlus love shilling things

they shill P3/4 (+Golden) in smash and with a literal stageplay, they shill P3D/P5D in both games with crossover DLC, they shill Arena with Dancing DLC, they shill P5 through manga and an anime, they shill P3 with 4(?) entire movies

shilling an upcoming game through a promo in smash almost feels like nothing by their usual standards of shilling

Oh no. I don't doubt the possibility of Kasumi. ATLUS plans on milking Persona 5 for a long time. My focus is on "do I want her." Well as long as she's free, sure.

but the blady weapon is a long sword and the gun is a shotgun

but joker's grappling hook is a p5r reference and her outfit is pretty close to his

so really who knows

It was probably easier to give Ken all those distinctions than negotiate with Sega on what Shadow's alts should be. Same with trying to work around the fact that Dixie has a ponytail and not an actual tail.

It's a give and take. Jane as far as we know is not in Smash anymore and we don't know if Sakurai would include her as an echo or retroactively add to Joker's fighter pass.

But her design and costume are incredibly similar to Joker's in ways that really have no reason to be. Primarily, the red gloves and black trenchcoat like clothing. Although, she has a sword and we haven't seen her Persona yet.

I would say her chances haven't changed from this trailer. She's still in purgatory for all we know, but is still possible.
