I think it's unanimous that most people would want Corrin replaced if they were God and could rewind time because she was literally an advertisement. If Kasumi is sold separate from Joker's fighter pass, I would rather they choose an echo with more history in a game that's already out worldwide.

If she's a part of Joker's fighter pass then that's fine. More bang for the buck I already spent, am I right?

corrin is a whole-ass unique character and sakurai gave zero ****s about adding them as a promo rep despite them not even being known anywhere besides japan

kasumi would be an echo fighter

if they found a way to make her work she would take less then half of half of half of the time it took to make joker

It was another East v West thing. Richter is more well known and requested in Japan

He's much more popular than Simon is in Japan.

How about Ressha instead? It means Express.

I mean Richter has one of the most iconic line in the franchise that anyone would recognize

Part of Simon's moveset is literally ripped out of Richter since Simon never used some of these moves. Sakurai even says during the August direct that you can't tell who is the echo fighter of who since both were used to make the moveset. That's why Richter is in, Sakurai looked at both of these characters when deciding the Castlevania character. And it's not like Simon and Richter were in the same game, both were the protagonists of different Castlevania games from different eras.

Hmm, OK, those are good points.

But still, was he really that deserving of a spot over character like Shadow or Dixie? Like Sonic as been in the Smash franchise for 3 games now, yet he still only as 1 character, while Castlevania get a free echo first time. You could say it's to make all fans of Castlevania happy and to make sense as to why Simon use Richter moves and vice-versa, But Donkey Kong and especially Sonic are much well-know franchise those days than Castlevania, so if we use the "deserve" argument here, I feel like I would have put priority over Shadow/Dixie than Richter. (Also Sakurai could have totally pull a Ness with Simon and say he asked help from his descendent or some **** during to the event of Judgement to learn their moves to explain how Simon could user Richter moves, it might have sounded bad, but Sakurai could have use that card without too much problems imo)

As for Kasumi place, well, I guess it depend as to how you reacted to Corrin inclusion and if getting angry at a echo fighter, which don't take alot of works anyway, is really worth it or not. In all cases, I wait until we get more info on her before I say something I might regret.

the grappling hook reads much more like Royal representation than an obscure menu reference, her thief costume isn't too wildly different from joker in terms of animation, and her weapons are similar enough (barring mechanical edits to accommodate length and range) to work as joker's do

at any rate, i'd feel 100% confident that this is what 'jane' is/at least was at some point in time during joker's development, and atlus will shill this game to the ends of the earth even if that means making a deal with sakurai

I just noticed, she has the same red gloves, black clothing thing Joker has. Sure, her mask is not white like Jokers and she has a bit less on, but otherwise they are pretty close to each other.

Corrin didn't deserve to be in Smash as DLC. As someone who was hyped for Fates before it became a meme, Corrin was disappointing. Not bad, but not great, which is the point.

It's never unanimous in regards to characters.
Yeah, people would have rather had their preferred character but that lumps in people who were neutral on Corrin at worst with those that hated her.

I think it's supposed to be a leotard because she was shown ballet dancing in her normal clothes. You can also see that the shoes are black ballet shoes.

That said I think maybe a material other than black leather was called for here. Just maybe.
