Looks like it could be a rifle with a shortened barrel, like the Mare's Leg.

Well, is it possible we cant see the rifling from that angle?

This would be one of the best angles to see the grooves, yet I can’t see any. While the grooves and chokes in the barrel are what really define a shotgun, you can also see the stockier design for this gun which resembles a shotgun rather than a lengthier, thinner design that would resemble a rifle.

Ehhhhhhh, there’s an argument to be made for him though. Joker is a fan favorite character from a successful, recent RPG. He had a preexisting fanbase that could be sold to. New girl does not have this, and thus serves only as an add for a game Nintendo will make nothing from.

The hard part is finding time for it. There aren't any new games coming up that interest me, so now I have time to go through my backlog. It will never be finished, but I'll try my hardest to make sure I finish a lot of games on my list.

tbh if kasumi's in at some point, then at worst her promotional inclusion was probably the troll toll atlus asked for in exchange for giving sakurai literally everything

we know now that smash joker is P5R joker from the grappling hook, so there was at least some level of influence going on even putting 'jane' aside

it is, and it's up for debate whether sakurai took it from that or from royal

he's a sucker for obscure details, but equally the grappling hook looks like a core feature from royal, so i'm much more inclined to believe it was influenced by that

I think that if Kasumi is indeed Jane and if she is coming, she ended up like Lucina and Dark Pit then in that she ended up with more differences to be a mere costume.

• She's free with Joker, which creates the expectation of echoes for each part of the fighter pass
• She's paid DLC that's cheaper than Joker, which means people could buy here instead of Joker and get the same fighter for less
• She paid DLC that's the same as Joker, which means people who already have Joker would have to pay the same price to get an echo

Maybe she's a costume sold later as part of an effort to sell new skins for various characters. That's the best case scenario for me.

mostly down to her weapon similarities, her costume being skimpy joker, and the grappling hook most likely being taken from P5R

if i wasn't on that thread's supporters list before then put me down now, cause no way is atlus passing up this shilltastic opportunity

Nothing wrong with free echos.
People should know better than to expect too much by now. But who knows if it happens maybe other dlc could have some.

No, faygo, don't you understand? Characters have to EARN their place in Smash! They need to sweat blood and tears all day every day to even be remotely considered and anything less is an offense to me and my favorite character in particular.
