Due to popular fan demand of zero requests, I have now begun doing a World of Light Iron Man. The rules are simple, I think.
- The goal is to beat Galeem and Darkon together.
- If I lose a battle, the fighter and spirit team that they were using are both discarded and cannot be used anymore.
- To make sure I explore all of World of Light and don't just choose the fastest route, I must collect every character before defeating the final bosses (or die trying).
- PPlant and Joker can be used. Depending on how long this takes, I'll add a safety net. If future DLC fighters are released beyond this date, I will not use them.
Without further ado, this is stressful as ****. So normally, I could just smash attack until it killed something, no matter how much I lost. Now? Well that just wont get me results anymore. Three star and four star spirits are now deadly mother****ers who pose actual threat. I have to choose my battles strategically as I build up my spirit catalogue. Even then, some fights just catch me off guard.
Take the Juri spirit battle. The one stamina battle that spams Bayonetta side b. Before using Kirby's copy->bullet strategy, I used Marth. Unfortunately, I was caught off guard by the hitboxes and my counter game was thrown off when I tried to adapt. Marth perished this day.
Unfortunately, our hero Kirby also met a terrible fate. In the battle against Kapp'n, the one with the boat, wind resistance wasn't enough to make Kirby a viable choice. I underestimated my conditions and didn't see the FS meter building up. Unfortunately, the puffball that started this adventure went out as soon as he could.
So it's a troublesome start because I don't have a ton of strong primary spirits to abuse the rock-paper-scissors mechanic. Doubly so because Kirby ****ing died with my 7700 two-star red-class spirit. The tension is real, folks.
