A personal problem I have with modern superhero comics/films is that these are characters formed in an era from the 40s - 60s. While that alone isn't a problem, a lot of things can be outdated. Again, not a problem, but some are these are permanent aspects that can't be undone. Like, y'know, their names.

If you can name me one person you know who's genuinely named **** in the modern world is the only person who could sympathize with Robin for somehow not having his name legally changed in an almost 2020 world when back in the 40s it was just Richard how do you get **** from richard

I think some recent comics started calling Nightwing Rick instead. But most people are just used to calling him **** Grayson. If any cartoon series felt the need to call him Rick Grayson instead, maybe that'd be a change that'll stick longer. Usually the well made adaptions have a bit of influence on the characters in the comics later on. I think the main comics re-conned Iron Man testing weapons out during the Vietnam war, now being the Middle East Post 911 war.

I mostly get annoyed when adaptions alter a personality or design too much. At that point you could have made the character someone else.

On the other hand, phonetic similarities between codenames is a tenuous thread to grasp. "Jack" and "Doyle" were related, but certainly dissimilar phonetically, and probably etymologically too.

i think another issue i have with the theory that jane is garbage data from another fighter is that, while the .mchp file implies that the model is in a near-finished state (as per pushdustin, at least), 'jane' doesn't even appear in the fighter listings below jack or brave (and this is at a time when the development team weren't aware that dataminers had access to this, and so didn't bother to hide anything).

if she was being tested internally as a seperate character, it seems to me that 'jane' should have appeared in this list by the very necessity of being 'playable'. it also seems odd to me that a fighter so early in development as to not even be indexed beneath jack and brave would have a near-finished model.

And potential characters with ponytails?

I can only think of a modern design Jill Valentine or Shantae.

Lara Croft, I think she had a ponytail before the braid. If she's based more on the Modern one, than for sure she'd have a ponytail. Or she is a mix of Classic and Modern, kind of like Simon's design in Smash is.

Quick question, does Ultimate's programming even allows more alt costumes? I know there are limited places for playable characters, but I imagine it easier to add cosmetics.

You'll likely have to wait for modding to evolve to see more alts. Unless you mean in base game, then I wouldn't know.

I know in Smash 4's modding scene, Little Mac having 16 costumes meant the game could understand that a character can max out at 16 costumes without messing up, so modders early on took advantage of that and were able to "fill the empty slots" for characters like Samus or Marth. Which sounds dirty but it works.

Probably, but for simple jumping and running they could use a slightly different model. If I'm not mistaken, some games tend to have different hand models for different actions.

The more and more I play Joker, the more obvious his lack of killing power becomes.

Without Smash attacks and Arsene, literally nothing kills till like 120%.

I've now had matches that go on for way longer and in the event of a Joker ditto, they either go down to the last minute, or to Sudden Death.

I'm just under 4.3 million GSP w/ him, so about 100K more till Elite.

But I ain't playing any more of him tonight.
