That’s the fighters pass that is both a bit realistic (Except for maybe sol), and my most wanted.

Am I the only who prefers the villains instead of the heroes for the RE pick?

Talk about Jill and Leon all you want, but all they have are guns and bizarre ass superhuman ****. Nemesis and Jack Baker are the real ****.

Check again, maybe.
Certain mii costumes are exclusive for Mii types. Like the Persona ones are exclusive for the Mii Swordfighter.

interesting developments on the jane front, courtesy of the folks in the joker thread:

• Dr. HyperCake, the original guy who found her, has both confirmed that her files were scrubbed (rather than it just being hearsay) and that the phantom thieves use their P5 'codenames'
• the 'five fighters' left on the official website can be changed at will and seem designed to accommodate more than five
• PushDustin and Vaanrose noting that if jane's model has a .mchp model, it is very much in a finished/at least mostly finalised state - if scrapped, it would have been scrapped at a stupidly late date close to joker's release and thus doesn't seem to have been something they just played around with for fun or replaced at the last second with school costumes

he stated that none of the five core fighters were echoes (i.e. 'no, you're not just paying for 5 echoes of mario and pit'), but didn't exclude the possibility of fighters within it getting echoes, like how simon was added at the same time as richter - we could easily see a luminary echo fighter of erdrick, for example

But he also mentioned that each pack will have 1 fighter, 1 stage and music so while you could twist this to mean "1 primary unique character but also in some cases 1 Echo" (i.e Jane) but that wouldn't fit within the context of what he said nor would I expect Sakurai to hide that information from us.

Though that's not to say he can't sell it separately which if "Jane" is in I expect him to as it makes more sense in my opinion but either way works with me as the more characters the better!

It confirms that Sakurai can and will work on more Echoes/New characters if he wants anyways.

Honestly, if I had to pick a RE villain, it’ll have to be William Birkin for his evolution concept in his moveset (From make your moves). Also, I wanted Leon to play similar to classic RE (Item mechanic, limited resources, about making your shots count, movement similar to how classic re worked).

Honestly, if I had to pick a RE villain, it’ll have to be William Birkin for his evolution concept in his moveset (From make your moves). Also, I wanted Leon to play similar to classic RE (Item mechanic, limited resources, about making your shots count, movement similar to how classic re worked).

well, quite a bit's happened since wildvine's writing this in february - ann theory is bunk as of today, and P5R girl just so happens to have a ponytail.

personally, i think the jack/jane names are too phonetically similar (and both literally mean the same thing, 'god is gracious') to be disconnected. it also wouldn't surprise me if, back in jane-is-an-altverse, the two of them were split like olimar and alph - atlus treats P3's feMC as a different character (just look at Q2 and her absence from anything barring P3P until Q2)

personally, i think the jack/jane names are too phonetically similar (and both literally mean the same thing, 'god is gracious') to be disconnected. it also wouldn't surprise me if, back in jane-is-an-altverse, the two of them were split like olimar and alph - atlus treats P3's feMC as a different character (just look at Q2 and her absence from anything barring P3P until Q2)

On the other hand, phonetic similarities between codenames is a tenuous thread to grasp. "Jack" and "Doyle" were related, but certainly dissimilar phonetically, and probably etymologically too.

I buy into any theory, no matter how ill-founded and illogical it is purely for the sake of entertaining myself from the crushing reality of characters I want not being mainstream enough to be considered for an all-star fighting game like Smash Bros.

I hope it is Jill so you could main them and be happy about an RE Rep but I have to disagree there chief as if we're gonna ignore the Codename it could be a ton of characters from Dixie and Shantae to admittedly Jill.

Her having a Ponytail is a very weak point as a plethora of Characters have ponytails and ignoring the Codename it could be anyone who has a Ponytail, What specifically does Jill have to connect her to "Jane"?

Now after saying that I will admit that there is a connection that 1) Connects to Jane and 2) Connects to why "Jane" was with Jack but it's a long-shot, "Jack" and "Jill" "Jack and Jill" as in a reference to the rhyme so it explains why Jill/"Jane" would be hidden with Jack's code though again it's a long-shot.
