I doubt that too many of you are Trekkies, but I must say, if I haven't already, that Star Trek: Discovery is freaking great. I finished the season 2 finale last night, and, wow, that was a great way to end the season. I really like the direction they are taking this series.
Still disappointed Beyond never got a sequel. That ****ing Beastie Boys Scene was an outstanding and, outrageously bonkers, call back to the first movie. Not to mention the movie itself is just stellar.

Haven't gotten around to watching Discovery but I definitely intend to. I loved Sonequa Martin-Green when I saw her that little bit in The Walking Dead before I dropped that show.

I just realized I've played like 200+ hours of Starbound and have yet to complete the vanilla content.

I wonder if this is what playing Skyrim feels like.

Nah playing Skyrim is like watching paint dry except the paint is draugr and spider colored.

Yeah, me too. The franchise was mishandled after Abrams started focusing on Star Wars.

You really should watch it. It is a shame you have to subscribe to CBS All-Access (unless you plan to bootleg it) because I think it would do great on television.

>Thinking it was gg

Man dude that was bad. Not on your part but on mine. I can't that hard of a job gg.

I even had Tap Jump on lol.
Aye man don't diss Tap Jump like that you can still do decent with it on.

I'm only defending it cause I have Tap Jump on but otherwise Button Jump is objectively better.

Elder Scrolls has always intrigued me. I should pick it up on a Steam sale one of these days.

Anyways, Starbound's modding community always distracts me from making any actual progress in the vanilla content, lol. I always find new weapon mods and playable race mods I wanna try out.

What if we’re all part of a computer simulation?

The users are our Personas.

Actually, a better question. If your avatar is your Persona, what powers would it have?

After playing Joker a bit here's my thoughts (tagging Swamp Sensei Swamp Sensei since he was interested):
  • Definite main/secondary material. At the very least he's someone I want to get good with
  • He's strong, but will likely place around high-mid tier.
  • The Rebellion Gauge needs to award offensive play. As of right now it mainly fills from getting hit, and I believe that's Joker's largest problem.
  • Furthermore, allowing Arsene to be activated (similar to how you can use Persona attacks in the game) would go a long way alongside the aforementioned change.
Overall I really like him. If I get better with him he could definitely be primary main material.

Can we get an F in the chat?

Mine? Mind bending powers. Worm hole powers. Temporal Displacement powers. Powers to grow; powers to shrink. Powers to make friends with unlikely cats and even unlikelier hats.

Nah, I just don't like playing at 10 frames per second with 8 frame input lag.
Yeah, I try to get some better Ethernet but even after I get the stuff needed, its not gonna work since I use the switch handheld regularly, instead of another controller, so I’m stuck using bad WiFi.

@ShinyLegendary See, this is much better.

THANK YOU.

Yeah and everyone you're playing against is stuck dealing with your crappy wifi too.

man it would be so sick if after the rebellion gauge was full his down-b turned into an activation move for arsene

would make him way more user friendly imo

but i guess meter management is part of the challenge of playing him

he's supposed to be pretty technical yeah

I just wish you gained meter for attacking.

I think it'd really go a long way for Joker.

I like that the way you activate your persona, and how Arsene is behind joker is both similar to Jojo Heritage for the future, (Except for having to use a button for it).

Uh, No. I have two characters in my profile picture I don't know what would happen in that case, I guess we could go with Geno in Duster's clothes.

My Stand Persona powers would be a mix of Duster's Buffs/Debuffs and Trapping with Geno's Lasers and Powers with it being very glass cannon-y.

Yeah I've already gone through a lot to explain why at a fundamental level Arsene doesn't feel good to summon.
This is on top of the fact that his summoning is completely automatic and involuntary making it so that you can accidentally Arsene Up B straight into a guy's FSmash.

Basically, what I'd do to fix it would be to change it into a devil trigger instead of a royal-guard juggernaut.
... absolutely no one here will understand what the **** I'm talking about.

you do gain a bit iirc

but it's negligible compared to what you get by getting your ass handed to you

which is weird, he's supposed to be one of those "oppress you with god-tier frame data" characters but you can't kill for **** without arsene... which you can't get very reliably unless you either land a counter (which is very tough and punishable) or get your ass beat which goes against his whole archetype since he dies in like 4 hits

feels just a little bit wack

You seem to be mixing up a persona with a stand.
Personas are basically just JRPG stat numbers, very rarely will they ever have some sort of gimmick ability tied to them.

(But I guess the Demi-fiend would be a physical build)
