I think the biggest piece of evidence in favor of Erdrick is the fact that his class is called “Brave”.

We can argue about what makes someone Brave, but that’s not the point. The class is tied to Erdrick in ways it isn’t to other people. It’s objectively connected, rather than subjectively.

Plus with the push of Dragon Quest XI on Switch, calling it a “legendary series of RPGs”, that the series is held in high regard anyway.

Moreso than “X IS REALLY A BRAVE CHARACTER GUYS”. Like, that’s one of the silliest arguments i’ve seen about the whole thing, no offense.

If we get a Resident Evil character in THIS Fighter pass it'll probably be Leon. If we get a second or third Fighter's Pass it COULD be Jill but I'm still pretty solid on Leon. The only thing I feel could tip it in Jill's favor would be if Resident Evil 3 Remake comes out next year.

Right now Leon being in 2 and 2 REmake, being the main character in Resident Evil 4, being A main character in 6; of which 6, 4 , and 2 are the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th best selling games in the franchise, being the lead character in ALL the animated movies, having a new game come out very recently, and being one of the more popular characters in the franchise throws Leon REALLY high up on the totem of RE characters.

I feel like if we do get Jill, and it's not unlikely, she'll be a costume or Echo.

Obviously whoever "Brave" ends up being won't be given the nickname in a literal sense. There's got to be some vague connection between the word and the character rather than "X is known for being Brave" or "X has a Y that's nicknamed Brave".

Tbf all DQ heroes are called Brave. One could argue a pick like Luminary would make more sense.

It's not out for like another 8 or so hours.

I'd recommend simply spending time doing other things while you wait, staying on here and staring at the clock is just gonna make the wait feel longer.

So was there a new leak mentioning Resident Evil or are we just speculating? I’m having trouble imagining how a main character from that series would work, but I’m not entirely opposed

Three reasons:

1. Joker has just a straight up gun, so "how do you make a RE character without realistic firearms" is dead.
2. The ponytail found for "Jane" in the since-deleted datamine has to apply to something, and some suggested it's early work on Jill as she's a humanoid figure who prominently has a ponytail in her Revelations/RE5/MvC appearances.
3. I've brainwashed you all with my repetitive Jill pandering for the last year.

But no, there's been no new leak. This is just speculation for fun.
