feels like sakurai's intent was to throw out a first sneak peak in february but then nintendo needed something to show off at TGA

I mean, that's exactly what went down + Piranha Plant was still having to be finished. If it took two months post-game to just finish the Plant, I wonder what's going on with Joker and Brave to make their wait just as long.

I'm not crazy. I'd never hurt anyone. I just feel like I'm trapped in a world that WANTS me to be horrible and depressed and no matter how hard I try to stay optimistic everyone else tries to kill it. No matter where I go the darkness eventually shows up and tries to extinguish my light and I hate it.

That reminds me of a Discord server I was once on, where the dude who ran the server literally made it a RULE that you're not allowed to ask the people of the server "what is [x]" or "who is [y]". Yeah... that sucks. I assumed it was because of a Smash direct, but now we're all expecting a Nintendo direct. Makes me think if Brave will be shown off at all.

There were a ton of videos about it right afterwards.
I think it is getting less attention now, because it is no longer relevant. Joker is.

There's nothing really going on, I don't think. I doubt Joker and Brave are the only ones they've been working on all this time.

It took almost the same amount of time for to finally get gameplay, and when he did, was also shown off. And when Lucas came out awhile later, we got three characters at once. I'm not saying we'll get as massive of a dump as that, but I just mean to say I doubt Joker and Brave are the only ones they've made progress on.

i hesitated on calling a trailer 'playable', but then i remembered that the one piranha plant leak on reddit (god knows if i can find it now) came from a guy who'd been playtesting him, so they'd been working actively on him since at least october

No one ever seems to mention the whole “Never take your heart” sentence from the Persona 5 anime, and I don’t know why. That quote seems huge in my eyes because the quote every time is “Take your heart”, a quote that’s is used to cheer, threaten targets, and what not. So by switching it around by adding never in the sentence changes the entire tone of the quote in a more wise way. It’s as if it’s telling us a moral.
