Pretty much. Nothing's inherently going to get better. Some times, thing get ****tier so you just gotta learn how to put up with it, and that's where the joy in life comes from.

Chill dude. By modern standards 18 is still totally a child.

You can't get drafted, you can't drink, you can't rent a car, and you get to stay on your parents' health insurance as a dependent for another eight years. You don't even have to go to college yet if you don't feel ready. Seems rare that people do anymore.

While there are a lot of things I cant enjoy as much due to age, I discover new things. But seriously, enjoy your time without many responsibilities as when you get older you start getting more and more.

TBH, I don't wanna go back. Life was "good," but I was incredibly sheltered, spoiled, and a huge asshole. Looking back isn't really pretty when you see 13 years went by doing legitimately nothing productive while everyone else around you had to actually work to make a sizable living.

But yeah, life doesn't hit you like a truck when you turn 18; it's a steady transition.

It's not as bad as some make it out to be, but it's still significant enough.

While in legal terms (at least in some places), you are considered to be an adult, adulthood in general isn't something that can be defined purely with just age. It can be argued that no one becomes an adult until way later. And even then, while things are different, it doesn't mean you can't carry things from your childhood, you can still enjoy things that are close to you. It's fine to be worried but don't think that once you hit 18, you're automatically a completely different person.

The thing about adulthood is that you have more responsibilities to worry about (most of them involving your own well being) but you have much more autonomy and ability to do what you want. I miss being a kid sometimes, but if given the choice I don't think I'd go through that part of my life again.
You should cherish your childhood, but at the same time I don't think adulthood is something you should fear.
