Actually the horrifying part of it all is that he totally succeeded but wasted manpower on his Holocaust and got overconfident in his attempt to take Russia. Couple that with Japan attacking a then-neutral US and basically jumpstarting what would soon become the world's biggest military superpower and the Allies eventually won the war. But had Hitler not gone crazy, he absolutely had turned Germany into the world's premier superpower and could have conquered all of Europe without American or Russian interference.

How would you take control of a country without overthrowing and conquering it? You may have good intentions but Hitler or other people who tried to do that thought what they were doing was good, Which of course they weren't.

I would argue that the blitzkrieg strategy was so much better in the short term than in the long term, so Nazi germany wouldn’t succeed even if Hitler was sane.
