Absolutely perfect in my eyes. Bomberman's already an assist and K. Rool is already in, so Erdrick and Banjo would complete Smash Bros for me until Bomberman starts having a chance again.

Fair enough, it could be someone surprising. Erdrick seems a good candidate for the codename so for many he seems likely, don't worry too much.

I just don't see how people can still give credibility to leakers, ESPECIALLY after all the times the super realistic looking leaks turned out to be false. Think about it, nobody would be talking about Erdrick to this level if it wasn't for leakers who randomly decided to bring him up, and I don't want leakers to end up manipulating an entire fanbase into believing something. People are literally convinced that Erdrick is in, no questions asked, and that's not how things should be in my opinion.

Leakers have never had a 100% sure rate, even Vergeben pre-February direct had a few spotty things. The fact that he got pretty much wrong doesn't erase the things he leaked that ended up being true, and pretty much his Smash info was generally spot on save a few misses (and let's be honest, one was totally a **** move by loz18). Verge has never had a clean record, but a lot of the stuff he leaks means that he has insider knowledge up to a certain degree. It's always good to take things with a grain of salt.

Probably because of his relative obscurity over here in the west. I know if you told me Dragon Quest was gonna be in Smash Bros before all of this leaker mumbo-jumbo, I would be shocked. Hell, if Erdrick was revealed with no leaker knowledge about him, I'd lose my **** because "Dragon Quest!?"

I agree with people being this certain about Erdrick it's not healthy from a Speculation side of things nor is it healthy from an individual point of things which is why I believe people shouldn't jump to conclusions just yet.

I'm open to many characters and while I have my wants and Characters I am biased towards (Geno especially) I can see other Characters and say that they're likely or have more of a chance than my character, Erdrick is such yet I'm hesitant to call him a lock cause plenty of legit looking and sounding leaks have been debunked (The Grinch Hoax) or are looking less guaranteed and less likely by the month (Steve).

I say just wait and see, We all have Characters we want and we all have Characters we think will get in but don't jump to conclusions just yet which is why I'm still rooting for my boy and why I'm open to many possibilities. You can have your predictions but to throw away discussion of other characters and say one thing is certainly happening that just isn't wise.

Erdrick may seem like the most likely Character but he isn't confirmed until he's confirmed, He may be coming or this all may just be a hoax just wait and see. Anything can happen in the realm of Smash Speculation.

I mean I might be warming up to him a bit more now that I’m getting more familiar with the games and what he could do though I don’t mind either way if he makes it or not.

I really only give a damn about Polar, Vergeben, and Tansut right now.

Polar has proven to me to be reliable, cautious, and transparent. She usually doesn't make a lot of big claims so she's also consistent.
Vergeben is really only reliable with Smash info, in which he was sport on until DLC started being discussed. However, even the stuff he did get wrong, Joker being revealed first and Minecraft boss, have legitimate excuses behind them. Joker's reveal trailer was apparently a last minute decision and Ratholos is coded as the EndDragon, which sounds big when everyone was talking about the datamines upon Ultimate's release.
Tansut leaked Cloud and hasn't really done anything since beyond leaking Erdrick. Don't know what else there is to say.

Erdrick? Alright DQ Deserves representation and Erdrick is a prime choice for that.

Banjo? Yes please, Banjo is super cool and I would totally love him.

Lloyd? Eh he'd be cool but I prefer Heihachi, I don't mind either way though I just prefer Heihachi's personality and fighting style. Lloyd's cool too.

Hayabusa? Alright.

Individually they're all cool but together? It could use for more diversity. Two of the Characters are sword wielders, Three of them have the Anime Aethetic, Four of them aren't very "Cartoony" and one of them is very different from the rest.

I would prefer more Nintendo-Esque characters or more "Cartoony" looking Characters like Banjo.

It's a fine roster though, I guess I might buy it.

Firstly, I agree with your last point. One should be prepared for a character to be added, but not certain that it'll happen.

Now, leakers are believed because they have in the past proven they have valid info. When they claim something with that record, people will believe. In speculation, there's nothing more coveted than concrete evidence or facts. Without these, there's only guesswork and assumptions. Leakers give us a semblance of fact to work from, so they can have real sway on speculation. There's nought one can do about it.

Also, leakers don't "randomly" bring up characters. They mention characters when they hear from their sources that such a character might be in. It's a bit pedantic to mention, but I'd like to be clear here. Erdrick has people behind the scenes corroborating the notion that he's in.

Why, having my every character whim catered to, of course. As a fan, I must be satisfied. Anything less and I’ll feel robbed. Because it is obvious, to me, that my character choices deserve a spot on the roster.

Should also mention that I'm fairly indifferent to Lloyd and Hayabusa. I respect their franchises and what they can do, but I'd choose different characters like Heihachi, Wargreymon, or a first party character on my signature. I'd buy them as a whole if they looked cool.
