Hello people! I am back from watching that Kamen Rider movie with Pac-Man!

I liked it a lot, even related deeply with the character of Emu.

Cutie Gwen , I can imagine why you love this franchise. At least this movie was a blast to watch through for me.

I guess you want your first season to be Ex-Aid as believe it or not but the Pac-Man movie is canon and has an important plot point. Ex-Aid's a good show though it drags a bit once Emu gets his final form. I recommend it quite a bit!

So I read through an opinion piece today from IGN on Accessibility in gaming and why more games should have it. This specifically pointed to the Souls games and Sekiro.

I am 100% on board eight making games accessible to people with disabilities. Allowing for settings that make the game more bearable for someone is something that I am totally for, as it’s just like how when I teach, I have to modify certain things for certain kids.

However, it does not mean that “easy mode” is included in that. Interestingly enough, when I have students who get accommodations, it’s not like the exam they take is made easier. I’m order to pass, they still have to show they can do certain things, just like the smartest kid in my classes.

Easy mode, while it doesn’t hurt anyone either, is not the same thing. Easy mode does not change specific mechanics of the game, and to me it unfortunately seems like an excuse for some people, not all to say, “making it easier makes it more accessible for people with disabilities!” When that isn’t the case at all.

Basically, all the way for accessibility. I’m not sold on games like Dark Souls needing an easy mode.

Accessibility is like Microsoft's Adaptive Controller. It can support numerous modular peripherals in addition to its core design being targeted towards people with disabilities, letting people create their own controller that fits how their body functions. The controller won't make the game easier for most people, it just lets people who don't have the same motor skills play the game their way when they couldn't conventionally.

I'm pretty sure recent patches nerfed them a bit, but I think they're still there. Down-B nerfs ruin his old gimp but kinda makes up for it by being a more reliable kill move, I think? I only just recently started playing him again and I'm still learning Ultimate Luigi, but I will say my gripes about his recovery aside (he's always had that problem, though), this is probably the best he's ever been IMO.

Villager is running a country, and the people of the country vote on stuff, every four in-game years, a new President/King/Emperor/Whatever is elected, but because the player has to be the one in charge, Isabelle just takes all the ballots, shreds them, and then says Villager won by a landslide.
