Sakurai’s probably gonna end up putting his brain in a robot body so he can keep making Smash. Hook him up to a supercomputer...

Every 4 years Nintendo just walks up to the Sakurai Machine and a new Smash pops out like a vending machine.

Since I am seeing Ducktales talk, I remembered that the closest thing to Scrooge McDuck in Smash ended up being an assist trophy.

But hey, if Sakurai just decides to can the rule about not adding characters who aren’t born from videogames, Scrooge would be one of the most likely picks for the Disney rep in that gigantic rarity of a scenario.

Sadly, as I said, I don’t see it happening in a long, long time.

I am currently hoping that it rains a bit more in Gran Canaria.

Sure, having a sunny day can be cool... But we really need some water to farm more fruit and vegetables, alongside other stuff which requires water to work.

Thankfully it rained a lot already, I just want some more drops on the weekend.

he's starred in ducktales NES/remastered, which while good is mostly just remembered for the moon theme

you might as well argue that goofy and donald are gaming icons because they've appeared in kingdom hearts alongside sora

I see where you are coming from.

Ducktales for the NES was, without a doubt, a huge deal back when it released. It even got a remake and inspired one of the biggest indie titles of the industry at the moment (Shovel Knight).
However, as much as he would be one of the most likely Disney reps, he is still under the same rules as characters like Goku or Spider-Man, and can’t join Smash for not being born from a videogame.

Who knows? Maybe Sakurai just decides one day to drop the rule and allow characters like those. But at the moment it doesn’t seem possible.

And that’s why I am glad that mods exist.

Scrooge is about as much of a gaming icon as James Bond

Meaning he's known for like one really good game, really hasn't had a notable game release ever since, and is simply most known for other media.
