Well the thing is that Souls games are consistent, Kid Icarus just throws the hardest level in the game right at you in the beginning.

We're talking the original, though I do agree that Kid Icarus oddly gets easier thanks to more health. You can pretty much breeze through the sidescroller levels with semi-caution, which largely contrasts level 1-3 where you need to know every spot where snakes will drop and those fire things will pop up.

But it didn't age super well and the Duke Nukem thing was terribly implemented. I feel kind of dumb for paying $40 for it when my X360 copy was still perfectly usable.

Honestly I never got why Fire Emblem never made another character with Xane's gameplay gimmick. I guess Dancers are kinda sorta similar, but even then there are significant differences. Hell, Xane and Phina are both playable in 3 and 12, so overlap isn't even an issue.

The show itself is great, and as such it has fans. Some of those fans are also great. However, there is a significant and very loud portion of those fans that are not great, or even sharing a zipcode with tolerable.
